Yeah that makes sense. Sometimes with her, I'm confused if there really is an underlying EJ energy level, but I guess it makes sense that way.

Also, is there any reason why you wouldn't see Stewie as SLE? He always seems to be demanding/authoritarian about something, physically direct, and into a more sensorial-logic Ti process about how something works...and is kind of on-off with emotion and sentimentality, holds an impulsiveness of EP.

He's far too tense. SLEs can have a sort of seething energy about them, but rarely do they manifest it in that sort of hyperactive tension.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Hah, hyperactive tension huh. I can actually see LIE working for him...its like he's more practical and direct or something. That's all I can pinpoint; not sure why else he'd fit with that type. Why do you think LIE is better than EIE?

The concretely inventive schemes, attempts to control using brute force and ingenuity rather than cunning/trickery and manipulation.

They all seem P subtype to me, and it has a lot to do with the open nature of the show.

    Lois - ESFj-Si
    Chris - ISFp-Si
    Cleveland - ISFp-Xx
    Quagmire - ESTp-Se
    Meg - ISFj-Se
Stewie - ENTj-Ni (this typing is definitely playing off of the more old-school stewie.)
Brian - INTp-Ni (I think his relationship with Lois downplays actual conflict and demonstrates more of the incompatibility and awkwardness.)
Peter - ENFp-Ne (benefit seems to make a lot more sense for he and Lois, than does activation. he is quite silly as may be attributed to ENTp, but ultimately a lot more Fi natured and feeling, with rather demonstrative Ti-PoLR. definitely Ne dominant.)
    Joe - ESTj-Si

    Seth MacFarlane - INTp-Ni?

    updated: ESE-Fe 9w8, contra-flow, either so/sp or sp/sx

I've kept thinking IEE for his type for the longest while, but he's way too smiley for Delta quadra or for an ILE/SLE for that matter - he's smiling on almost every single picture of him - then the realization came that he's likely Fe-leading.

Very funny stuff comes out of his head at times. There is no plot in his episodes. Stream of consciousness. I don't mind about that.

Alpha was something I thought at first. Then thought about IEE.

    MacFarlane:
I don't like it because it makes it real
I think we can exclude S type. Or can we? Maybe he is writing his stuff on drugs.
It is pretty heavy on random connections all the time and being not real. Talking dog, baby with very high IQ having huge scientific knowledge... Although it is action oriented.

Seems rather Ep but could be Ip. I just don't see SLE directness in him.

ILI? Peter SEE is his dual. That makes sense.

SEI. He consistently displays a light, upbeat attitude in interviews, is constantly cracking jokes, and almost always has a big smile on his face. Watch his interview with George Lucas for some huge -fanboyness/effusiveness (by one SEI of another SEI most likely). He also likes his characters to randomly break out into song. The humor of Family Guy includes a lot of as well (clever one-liners, throwaway flashback sequences). In fact I would say that sitcoms in general are humor and tend to attract valuers but especially Alphas.

It's interesting that he mentions Brian as being basically the same as him - although they are actually superficially very different, they are still both SEI. Brian is more of the cynical, introverted kind of SEI, and MacFarlane the goofy jokester kind.

I'm sure there are close calls that we're not even aware of hundreds of times a year. You cross the street, and if you'd crossed the street two minutes later, you'd have been hit by a car, but you'd never know it. I'm sure that kind of stuff happens all the time.

Everybody in my family had a real sick, twisted sense of humor. Most of the jokes we make in our house, we would just never even dream of making anywhere else. Just sick, horrible stuff. That wasn't anything new to college.

Evolution doesn't care whether you believe in it or not, no more than gravity does. I want to rekindle excitement over what we've achieved as a species with the space program. We can't afford to regress back to the days of superstition.

If a song is funny and absurd, and it sounds great, it's just going to be that much funnier. And there's no better example of that than 'Monty Python.'

    The only problem is time.
