Good question. Well I think his music is more introspective, imaginative and up in the clouds then it is experimental, and my overall impression of him is that of an introvert, and probably Ti valuing (which is mostly an observation gathered from interviews). He does demonstrate a lot of Ne, especially in projects like the Orchestrion, but his projects always seem very personal and he seems to get his inspiration mainly from within himself. On the other hand though, I don't get any particular "Beta vibes" from him and think the way he's organized as a touring musician is pretty neat (Te?). ENFp is definitely a possibility.

I'm always for anything that sounds like organ. Great way to close the record.

I feel like taking some space up, too. Which one of these is the "post a Youtube video" button?

This is about a bizarre acid trip.

This one's some bunch of russian turds.

I like this girl mainly for the size of her head.

Rowland died not long after this show. I wouldn't have been able to predict that one.

Anyone mention Dashboard Confessional or Alkaline Trio yet? Both have very Beta NF lyrics. Dashboard Confessional is the girl version of Alkaline Trio. Or, if you prefer, Alkaline Trio is a much more unhealthy version of Dashboard Confessional.

Damn, I could post links forever. I'll stop now. Probably.

    I don't care
who you've been kissing on these days
    it's out of my hands

According to krae, shpongle is an IEI and SEI working together.

    Juno Reactor>both of them though.
But, for a certainty, back then,

nigga please, no one can touch mushroom on an instrumental or psychological level. juno is a step above shpongle, by sheer virtue of thematic prowess and consistency, since shpongle tends to spiral in overly-spiritual pointlessness; but that's about it.

Well shpongle is an almost purely aesthetic experience, whereas shroom and juno are more actually trance-inducing kind of music. To me, Juno's symmetry and solidity is just fucking keynote, even if it is more mainstream/generic than Infected, especially for shit like writing, because it just fucking puts you there; much more of a spiritual bent, especially on Labyrinth, which is probably the true showcase of their talent (a couple of the tracks got used in The Matrix movies; they did a few others for the series too that aren't on any of their main release).

Infected is more of an active listening experience, much heavier energy than either; admittedly they probably showcase the most creativity and raw musical talent, but IMO that's not what trance is really abut; they are too Rock-genre bent for my taste, compared to the purity of Juno.

This is a fucking epic track from Infected:

Hard to pick out Juno's best track; here are a couple of my favorites:

But if you want a real trance experience, in the true sense of the word, download Luciana.

Juno has solidity, but their symmetry isn't diverse enough for me; that sporadic, discordant style of mushroom is just bliss...

    probably some temperament thing

I do agree about the spiritual bent thing, though. mushroom isn't really thematic; they just kind of put shit together and it either makes sense or doesn't.

I don't see how they're more rock-bent than Juno, given that they use a wider range of instruments and effects, and can go from a hip-hop cadence to some dance-floor anthem in less than eight counts. Juno's tempos and meters just get kind of predictable for me.

Well just generally the feel of their music, has the more discordant, directly emotional appeal of rock music, whereas Juno's impact is more emergent and "trance like," despite the rather simplistic, direct approach they take from a purely musical standpoint. To me, they represent the closest thing to a proper synthesis between creative use of production instruments and elegant long-term cadence construction, although I do wish their was more variation in their sound selection. Somewhere between the two would be ideal, IMO.

yeah, it is much more about impacts -- throwing the listener off and forcing them to catch up; juno is definitely better suited for emotional absorption, for me.
