If Jung based his theories on the people he met in his life, even if he met more people than the average person, that means that he based his theories on a certain type of person. The type of person who might go to him for therapy or talks, or who might believe the esoteric ideas he was spouting at the time. Thus it's possible that he did not categorize all humans into types, but just made subtypes for a specific type of person. This overarching type of person is the same type that is heavily interested in theories of this kind, and whom Alive says is an IEI.

Therefore, Alive is right. We are all IEIs with subtypes. With that, I'm off this forum

Fidias has an interesting brain. He has very curious blind-spots. Like he does not fear dying and he seems to have that sort of fantasy life geared towards others too. He could say stuff like "It is fun to kill". He is not a psychopath but still pretty oddly configured individual.

It would be so much more convincing (and useful for noobs !) if you explained the process by which you came to that conclusion (isolation of those two specific types) or at least some arguments other than throwing a video. Beside EIE and IEI are very different in terms of temperament.

Btw, I like the very beginning of the video...

facial expressions and body language correspond to N & F; Fe & Ni. about I/E P/J not sure. intertypal feelings also. he's exotic and interesting for me, but stressful, too.
in short, by the non-verbal & intertypal method. easiest way to understand is to read the theory, try to type people and to see how the traits described in the theory matches what you focus on in this method. and to look at type examples of people who are skilled in using this method. Sol should have many (you can look in the Beta examples thread - with the reservation that older examples should, hypothetically, more often be incorrect), although with regards to specific questions i'm not sure how to reach him now. not active on socioforum, but maybe he checks for PMs and similar.

The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

Yesterday, I was watching a documentary about Marco Polo in which I discovered a Historian named Dr. Frances Wood was saying that Marco Polo didn't go to China and that basically the Marco Polo's "Story" was in fact a synthesis a several travel stories from different people. Anyways, I was looking for an Interview of the Lady and I found it (among other nuggets !) in the channel of this gentleman who by the way is not only an Emeritus Professor and a great intellectual, but he is also a remarquable interviewer !

    Warren Zevon. LII.

He's channeling my LII sister in the above video.

Dave Letterman (LIE) really liked him. When Warren made his last appearance on Letterman's show, when he knew he was dying of cancer, Zevon said "Enjoy every sandwich." Which is just about the most Alpha thing ever.

For the record, I always thought that the "Werewolves" of London were LIEs, working in the City. Always. Werewolf is a good Alpha description of a Gamma.

Not sure about Yaron Brook. He seems logical and central though. Could be a gamma NT.
He could also be an LSI, he uses very step by step logic to explain things and is pretty rigid about adhering to Ayn Rand's system.

with his excitability in that video, EIE is not excluded either

Zevon seems EIE to me. He's so expressive. And werewolves are a very romantic and deeply archetypal symbol, which is a beta thing. "Enjoy every sandwhich" doesn't mean much to me that he's talking about food. But it is powerful in a subtle way.

It seems like I caught an ILE carrier ! ?

Edit : I've just took a look at his YTC without watching any video and I have second thoughts now ; I think he's a sensing type.

    --Theodore Roosevelt

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
