ENFp is not bad, but I think he was ISFp.
If you pay attention, he seems to devalue Te in the interview. His movies, especially Citizen Kane, are about creative ways of using images to provoke emotional responses - something Bionicgoat is also very good at.
Valueing of Si and Ne are obvious, but I think ISFp is more likely than ENFp.
Maybe. But he is a good example of the fact that one can often be absolutely certain of whether a person is a rational or an irrational type just by the intuitive "impression" he gives. Everyone with a minimum competence in Socionics should be able to immediately see, hear, and "feel" that Orson Wells is an irrational type.
His exact type is not as easy to determine as his irrationality, but that he seems to be an ethical type is rather certain.
That is one of my strongest guesses too. He seems more likely extraverted than introverted, and if ethical and not ENFp then ESFp is possible. His body type suggests ESFp>ENFp in my opinion, and it is also consistent with ISFp.
Gamma irrational is possible, INTp is impossible.
What makes you think INTp? Or Gamma, for that matter?

I think I can agree with you. He reminds me of a few other SEIs I know. He is very likeable for me -- very mild and easy-going.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. Check exactly @2:00:00 of the Arena documentary in the OP to hear Anthony Perkins talk about Welles' mastery at manipulating people to conform to his vision. Sounds like EIE to me.
His speech feels like it is being delivered by Fe "process" type making it a split between EIE and SEI. Listening to a few interviews he seems to be a little unsure of himself on sensory topics so leaning towards EIE soc-3w4.

I remember a lot of people typed him as SLE, and me and my IEI friend never truly grasped the reason of that typing. She types him as LIE, I rather think he's a really typical ILI.
