The other type brings up an obvious question and the SEE get a bit embarrassed. I keep bringing up that anime because it really is a Gamma quadra romance story. I have not done the research but I'm sure "ideal" quadra romances exist in the "shonen" genre.

Tis a great crime that most all of us in the west are utterly unaware that you can indeed write a romance novel targeted towards males. If any women are of the persuasion well, that's a market that is currently being underserved. Ain't a whole lot of shounen romance series and they are getting sales pretty hard as of late. If ya want to "write to market" I'd strongly suggest you make a novel series in that vein/genre.

If he had struggled heroically only to fall down broken despite his best efforts to save the day. If she had believed in him only to see him fail and yet not criticize him for that failure but to admire the Herculean effort he put forth despite his ultimate failure and to thus defy the expectations of cynical children like yourself and stand by him and complete his efforts not because "she's a strong and independent WAHMAN" but instead because she saw his virtue, acknowledged his strength of character and will, and accepted that while he may have failed, he still acted like a hero. And thus, though he failed, he still provided an opportunity. He didn't cling to her, he believed in her and trusted her in a sense so absolute it cannot be adequately described with words alone. Imagine a broken and dying Tony Stark who literally did all they could and yet fell short, the villain delivering the killing blow, only for that final attack to be blocked by Pepper and that last functional arm in a display of true heroism and she, with that one arm, manages to both defeat that villain and in doing so, saves Tony from death.

Yes, that's far more interesting. I find it odd that for all their talk about gender equality Hollywood producers now cast men as damnsels in distress and thus invert the gender roles, instead of doing away with them altogether and casting men and women as equals.

I have spoken of romance written for males. Men do love themselves a good romance novel/comic. As I've said, there's plenty of romance Shounen manga. Look for it, it's friggin' there in Shounen Jump of all places! Thing is, male romance comes at the concept of romance from an entirely different angle. Care to tell me the difference? I wager I'll gain a good chunk of info that'll further back my theories .

I don't think that male and female romance is all that different, though. Research shows that men enjoy romantic pornography as much as they enjoy conventional pornography with its cheap plots. The inverse doesn't hold, however, as women don't enjoy at all the cheap plots of: "Hey, neighbour!" 'Hi.' and then sex ensues. If anyone wants to make a name for themselves in the sex industry, I would thus recommend creating romantic pornography that caters to men and women, as that seems to be a yet untapped market.

I'd also like to point out that an ideal Gamma romance hinges on the fact that, while we don't "need" others, we really and truly "want" others. We want our dual, even if we don't truly "need" them. I'd wager that characterizes most dual relations if we assume both are "well adjusted" as it were.

I'll add in the thing you saw coming. That romance was doomed from the start because both had crippling attachment issues and hence why I harp on focusing on fixing those issues before seeking duality. If you and your partner have healthy attachment you will be happier with your conflictor all things being equal.

It's over a decade sense I watched/read that series but damn is that brutal. Take it from me, if you really wanna fuck someone up ask an ILI. Our darkest fantasies will convince you that the Catholics are right. Demons exist and if any type has a direct link to them, well, we're it .

Also, now that I think on it. Kikiyou is an example of the worst ILI's to have ever lived. From what I remember she's basically a Lich. No "good" ILI considers Lichdom any form of a tolerable existence even if the Sp instinct is their primary (e.g. me). If I gotta consume the souls of the living to continue existing, well, I just ain't doing it. The Sp instinct (as do all the others) serves a higher purpose.

Better for me to die now and gain life eternal rather than die as the mathematical result of the heat death of the universe...
