Default An Ideal Wardrobe of INTp-ILI

To illustrate NiTe taste in fashion, I selected some pieces that could make up an ILI's `ideal wardrobe´. You'll find both male, female and unisex items. Let me know about your favorites, and please add more ILI-like suggestions if you want to (I'll probably post more later, too)

Here are some factors that I considered:

    - unobtrusive colors, black is predominant
    - past, present, and future are combined: conservative VS modern VS contemporary, creating a timeless look
    - overall design can make the wearer seem unapproachable
    - can be tight (emphasizing gauntness) and not 100% comfortable, although practicality plays a role
    - pseudo-aggressiveness, concealing one's victim mindset (resulting in an emulation of fellow Gamma introtim ESI)
    - minimalism, although there may be elaborate details when it suits the style
    - dreamy or eerie, a bit out of place
    - Se-seeking: materials that make a strong haptic impression on the person looking at it. The Se-seeking outfit of an IxI attracts indirect attention through some sort of `kinky´ undertone, which can be more or less subtle - an SxE will pick up on that either way.
    - aloof, lack of playfulness. No witty prints or extremely eccentric cuts.
    - meant to be worn over longer periods of time: sturdy fabrics, not adapted to current trends
    - business, coldness > fun, warmth
    - flexible in style, not entirely fixated on one theme
    - portrayal of an archetype, sometimes without intention
    - self-assured vibe, a lot of clothing in this wardrobe suggests competence
    - can radiate an aura of superiority/exclusiveness, but not in a bold Fe-Se Beta way
    - a paradox of not being experimental yet innovative
    - an overload of mixed materials is avoided, overall coherence is important

My mom and friend ILI like economy, they don't spend a lot of money on clothes, they have their own style, they shop from both department stores and little neighborhood shops, they like comfortable shoes the best and they like a verity of purses and all natural skin care products. Yes, I agree that they don't like obtrusive colors. If it were not for my ESE sister my mom would wear mostly black, beige and very muted and pastel colors

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

As an ILI I can see how it all happened. Comfort on the cheep, but not if we turn heads because of it. Must not stand out, that's the job of our partner. We like to run things from the shadows. We got pride yeah, but we don't like being "fashionable" in a way that brings us into the spotlight of the average person. We don't wanna be the center of attention, that's for our SEE duals. That's what they want, and that's what we help them get. All eyes on the SEE god/goddess! Pay no attention to the ILI behind the curtain .

True, we wear "behind the scenes" kind of stuff. Lol at the SEE part, they do sport some flashy and sparkly styles, depending on the subtype. SEE-Se literally glows sometimes, it fits their aura. They can pull off pink and bright red like it's nothing. And yellow, oh myyy. <3 SEE-Fi is a bit more modest in their choices and prefers more refined combinations, I know one who likes geometric black & white prints. What I noticed about SEEs in general, their faces are basically made for wearing hats.

    Grazie! <3

And the ILI in the link is very relatable.
Look how artistic that is, Gerhard Richter style and classic black top.

Ahaha. I don't know about socionics, but this is hilariously spot on for me. I think my boyfriend, who is very fancy, wishes I would wear *something* other than basics in dark colors (or white).

Yes, no ILI without dark apparel. I usually look like I'm prepared for a funeral next to my SEI brother who is covered in comic prints and surfer-like attire. 104 degrees Fahrenheit outside might make me ponder a change to grey

Pretty cool stuff. Some I would not be caught dead in, others I am not opposed to but aren't my taste, but a few things I would like for myself. The blazers are nice. The ADIDAS T-shirt was cool, but I'm not typically a T-shirt guy.

An ILI developer I work with wears shirts just like that and normal looking dark blue jeans. One thing I noticed about ILIs is that even when they wear graphic shirts they often don't stand out at all or they cover it up 99% of the time.

This is another ILI from a gamers group I attend...

Once again kinda proving the point. In the event we get noticed, we want the one who noticed us to have put in some effort. We don't wanna stand out to the average Joe Blow Von Sixpack, we only wanna be noticed by the ones who "Just Get It" as it were. Few do to our eternal delight, which is why it's so fun to dress in such a crypto style. We control reality from the shadows (at least we wish we did in our heart of hearts), and yet so few see how obviously we're hiding in plain sight .

Black and navy, dark earth tones like green and brown. Tighter pants (more attention grabby) but comfortable top (seems chill). I like leather jackets on guys. Jewelry like rings or earrings is cool, but if it's understated and not overdone. Oh, I specifically like the roll neck jumper + dark long coat look. Hmm, as for shoes, anything goes, unless it's sandals or crocs. I don't like guy sandals. Nor crocs.

It fits whatever they deem to be logical. This funnily enough fits what most other Quadras assume to be the stereotype. "The accouterments of the graveyard" I believe one thinker in socionics put it. I Can't disagree, but that's only because I've been visiting far too many graveyards lately. You can probably spot an ILI with a great degree of accuracy by asking yourself "does this person look out of place in a funeral?"

We can subdivide that question in many a way but more often than not the "base" form of the question will do. It depends on the person but basically, as we know and are far more aware than any other type that our death/end may well occur at any time we try to be actually ready for it and try to extract a sense of joy out of it if we can at all.

Mourn not our death. Celebrate instead the joy we brought you, our most beloved, while we truly lived . Make it a kegger, not a cry session. I mean, it may well become one if y'all be sad drunks buts at least try to be happy drunks at least eh?

The trench coat. Throw in those what are they called. Throw in those suspenders, and you got a guy I know. What a meme. He was up there, even by my standards, so. Plausible. Unlikely, but plausible. There was, like me, nobody like that person. He was closer to my manager though.

Of note, he's the reason why I'm a pacifist. All he had to do is get me thinking.

An optimist - does not get discouraged under any circumstances. Life upheavals and stressful events only toughen him and make more confident. He likes to laugh and entertain people. Enters contact with someone by involving him with a humorous remark. His humor is often sly and contain hints and double meanings. Easily enters into arguments and bets, especially if he is challenged. When arguing his points is often ironic, ridicules the views of his opponent. His irritability and hot temper may be unpleasant to others. However, he himself is not perceptive of this and believes that he is simply exchanging opinions.

I knew a male ILI who wore highlighter-colored leggings on the days he had rowing after school.
