What types would be susceptible to brainwashing? And if the quality is individual, how does type reflect on it, what kind of brainwashing works on what types and so on.

all types are susceptible to brainwashing.
To what degree and how. I find it hard to believe that the same propaganda message will be attractive to a type and their conflictor.
EDIT: But then again there have been great scam artists, namely religious leader, that seemingly pull the wool over everybody's eyes. I think they do it through understanding, guiding you away from your normal mode of thinking in a series of small steps so you don't notice the slow gradual change and replacing your views with their message thereby conditioning you.
THAT is a very different discussion from what i said. religious brainwashing, of course, might be more likely to convince an ISFj than an ENTp. ideological brainwashing vice versa.Originally Posted by snegledmaca

I think it depends on the type of brainwashing... straight propaganda vs true torturous will breaking reprogramming. I imagine with the right drugs and techniques anyone can be broken pretty easily.
Sorry but here the answer cannot be "biunivoc".
Types with in the super-ID block are the most likely to be brainwashed.
Types with in the ego-block the least likely.

I agree. All types are vulnerable to brainwashing.
Which types are capable of brainwashing? My answer is pathological crosstypes. Crosstype functions can penetrate the foundations of a function's processing by seeing it as dependent on another function. This gives them great psychological power.
Huh. Why do you say that? Explain?Originally Posted by FDG

Ne types see what is being told to them in it's simplest terms; it's easier for them to weed out the bullshit. Ni Hidden Agenda needs something to "believe in," something to guide them through life, help them get where they're going.Originally Posted by Blaze8

Cults, yes; semi-popular religions, no. The latter seem to be led by INFjs and ENFjs. At one time Christianity was one such religion, remember. And today the Raelian's leader, Rael, is an ENFj from what I can figure.Originally Posted by Gilligan

That ENTp humor took me a while to catch, but it rocked.
It's not necessarily something to be taken lightly, however. The Jungians have already been named a cult by a published author. I think there is little doubt that many people who are referred to socionics by enthusiasts think it somewhat obscure, even cult-like. And the Russians have a bad rep in the West science-wise. (a legacy of the Cold War)
Furthermore, I find myself in the awkward position of questioning the worthiness of my own contribution when I mention socionics in my personality psychology class. Socionics has not proven itself as a valuable psychological tool, at least from the PoV of our current values system.
Definitely. I still have e-mails from an MBTI mailing list that harshly criticized Socionics:Originally Posted by tcaudilllg

Aushra Augustinavichute claims to have based Socionics on Jung and
Freud, it's little more than a rip-off of the 50 years of research
that preceded her. She's offering nothing new, apart from a
different notation that makes it confusing when trying to compare and
contrast systems.
