Mine switched from 5w6 to 8w7.
When I was 15 (only 4 years ago) I thought I was INTP (INTj). Give it time
I did mistype, and greatly at that, lol. What I'm saying is that tests are based on your own perception of yourself, and even when other people are typing you, you can lie to them by virtue of constantly lying to yourself about your own qualities too. And it's very easy to do that when you're an impressionable teenager who thinks they know shit but actually they know nothing at all. It's hard to know yourself before 25, and I don't really know myself either right now, despite having found "my type". If you want to find your instincts or your type in order to /learn/ what you are like, I would advise against that -- because if you don't know yourself, you're prone to altering your behavior in order to fit a mold you think you're like or want to be like -- which can be detrimental in the long run. You should look for information about yourself within yourself, and only then attempt to type. You can't do it the other way around.
So a roundabout answer to your question is... Yes, your instincts will probably solidify later in adulthood, when you have more knowledge about yourself through life experience.
Actually I observe my behaviours and the motivation behind my behaviours rather than my values or what my self image is. And I am completely ready to choose the honest answer even if I don't like it, the problem is I have a selective memory, I see the memory that includes the answer which is yes or no and the answer relates to the most experiences I have had. The problem is there isn't much instructions to how I take the test rather than BE HONEST, wtf I can be honest while I choose any answer I like, what do you want ?!
Anyway, you mean I must come back to enneagram after 5 years to know my type? Lol funk my type.
Hah, yeah, I have the same problem with being honest in tests, which circumstance am I supposed to base this honesty on?
I also don't think you have to wait until you're 25 for accurate typing, that's nonsense. It happens when it happens, that's all. Not everyone will be able to self-type from one page of function theory, and not everyone will need ten years of intensive study; follow your own course, it will turn out alright.
Instincts are for animals.

I think it’s pretty fixed from an early age. At least I think it was for me. I am so/sx 946. I’m sure I’ve always been so/sx 9..I remember having more sp6 when I was a kid..maybe before my ni developed or something. For self growth I actually feel like I need to be more sp6 again. I also identify a lot with sp9.
whatever you identify with, try to see it positively and also don’t let it define you. We use all of the instincts and have a bit of each e-type in us
