Do Romantics dream of wood?
@Tallmo?
(And yes, this was in my mind when I chose my user title)
I often want to burst out singing parts of this (the easy melodic parts, not the professional technical ones) because it's that catchy and spooky-sounding, but then I'm reminded of how stupid most people are and how they wouldn't get it. This version is better since the other one is an actual Nazi doing a ridiculous Italian accent that makes me burst out laughing.
What a great voice:
his enthusiasm makes me cry <3
I think her music is pretty awful, but for some reason I really like this song.
the vertigo is not fear of falling but will of flying~
The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

This album saved my life
It's Arnold Schoenberg's birthday today. Happy Arnold Schoenberg's birthday on Friday the 13th! (Most of his other music is more Friday the 13th-ish and check it out if you've never heard it, but if I don't post Gurrelieder no one else will because it's not in their music appreciation classes even though it's a masterpiece.)
@coeruleum
Thanks for the Mahler link. We spoke about Mahler last winter in this thread. I gave it a try and was listening to him more this spring. I particularly discovered the 6:th, very cool. Other symphonies I haven't really remembered, except of course the famous 5:th.
This summer I've enjoyed Haydn a lot. His piano sonatas!
I am not listening to music as much this fall. Maybe later.
I still think there is something absolutely unique about Mozart. I don't know what it is. I just re-discovered his symphony no 40, especially the II movement Andante.

All we ever wanted was everything
All we ever got was cold
Get up, eat jelly, sandwich bars and barbed wire
And squash every week into a day
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
The sound of the drum is calling
The sound of the drum has called
Flash of youth shoot out of darkness
Factory town
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh to be the cream
Oh to be the cream
Oh to be the cream
