Nothing is ever just a sum of its parts or just a mix of them. If you come from 2 different things, there is actually a third thing there which is what you are, which is unique...

one comes from two!
What is profound and what isn't is matter of perspective. I mean some thoughts are like pit toilets. They are deep. But they're also full of shit.

@niffer I could pull out some cheesy philosophers quote out of my a** ... but some time ago I told my mother (IEI) how I was repeatedly dreaming the same dream: I'm stealing a car. I have no license. For some reason the police knows and is after me. I know that too but that does not stop me despite my overwhelming fear to be caught and locked up. I'm a fucking idiot.
And my mother said "It means you feel caged in your current life and you need some adventure."
Damn, she's right. I had no idea.

Random philosophy in handling stupid people:

I cannot help but notice a trend where people are increasingly obsessed with "keeping score", "pulling rank" and taking it upon themselves to police behaviour, regardless of whether a law has been broken. Right and wrong must be discovered objectively, and we must resist the primitive urge to make ethical judgements based on criteria such as who has the most friends, the nicest suit or the most leaky vagina. This childish nonsense is affecting our ability to be creative, to be intimate and express ourselves honestly. I wonder, how often do you compare your status/power to others around you? And how often have you tried to shame and belittle someone who you see as a social inferior in order to make yourself look better, and how often have you tried to flatter and coax someone, ignoring their weaknesses just because you see them as a superior, and thus potential means of advancement?
I have said this before and I will say it again: if people redirected all the time they spend trying to change others' behaviour into improving their own, most of the world's problems would solve themselves.
“Isn’t about being celibate” LOL

^ You both make my point for me.
What are you talking about? Lol @Spermatozoa.
Yeah I just read your thing now. I agree with it. But it depends on context IMO. Sometimes if you cannot change your situation if you don’t change the outside world then you have to just do it.

I would argue that by changing yourself for the better (whether creatively, financially, emotionally or spiritually), you will create a positive change in the world around you. I firmly believe that we have a duty to create more than we destroy, and choose our battles wisely.
However, the process of creation takes time and a lot of effort to realise. A lot of people take the easy option, which is to contribute nothing, and shame anybody who dares to be different.
This is true yeah. Outer change comes mainly from inner change.

That being said ignoring extrinsic motivators seems kind of stupid, but only following them makes you zombie-like and dead inside.

I also do not respond at all to negative incentives (like catastrophizing, threats and shaming). I will shut myself away and become apathetic. Positive incentives (rewards, like sex) are enough to motivate me for a little while - they are akin to a stimulant, a quick energy boost - but if I need to work consistently over a longer period of time I have to be instrinically motivated as well, or I will start to wonder what the point is.
My point is that you can't transform another adult's life.
You can give them some extra motivation (sex, love), for sure, but your input won't change their purpose and ambitions. However, what you can change is how aggressively and persistently they pursue their dreams.
An example:
One of the world's most persistent myths is that a woman can "reform" a unsavoury type of man (like a drug dealer) by having sex with him.
In fact, the exact opposite is true.
When you have sex with a man, you demonstrate to him that you find his current behaviour attractive, so you will just get more of the same.
- Infinity is an actual thing, it really exists as a mathematical information. And mathematics is real, as it reacts in complex and autonomous ways that can't be predicted by us (such as prime numbers). Just because it's abstract doesn't mean that it's not real or it doesn't exist. And knowledge is a kind of information. Which means that the growth of knowledge is infinite. The discovery of knowledge will never end.
- There will always be problems in this world. But there will also always be solutions. And finding solutions will also create new problems to solve. Problem-solving is an endeavor that will never end, as long as there are problem-solvers aka intelligent beings.
- You can't create anything new other than from things that already exist. Everything new and all creativity is just slight alterations and modifications of things that already exist. This is how evolution works, and incidentally, how the evolution of knowledge works.
- The only way to explain something, is from theories. If you want to explain something, then you must first come up with a theory of some kind. Only then, you can have a framework in which things can be explained from.
- If "typology" were an actual thing, then it will necessarily be explained from a theory. It will be subsidiary to a general theory of human identity. The "tree" of theories would look like this:
{General principles of all theories}
|
{Theory of physics}
|
{Theory of biology}
|
{Theory of neurobiology}
|
{Theory of consciousness aka psychology}
|
{Theory of human identity}
/ / | \ \
[Sociology] | [Theory of happiness] | [Theory of conflicts] | [Theory of human emotions] | ["Typology"] | [etc.]
- Typology is a kind of a classification of people. And how can we classify something without a theory? (e.g. what kind of metal it is, will be explained from a theory of chemistry). The criteria in which it will be classified from, will be from a theory. Typologies cannot exist without a theory.

I finally figured out the moment of "telepathy" I had several years ago, where a guy said what I was thinking seconds after I thought it.
As it turns out, we were both identicals. Only with my most recent self-typing have I figured out that both he and I were the same type. And why he got along with his ex suddenly made sense, because she was his superego type, and I had typed her correctly the first time. >.>
