Once a friend, always a friend. We ate lunch together in Middle School. She invited me to a celebration in honor of the sixteenth anniversary of the day of her birth. An acquaintance is just someone you've met. I have thousands of those. A friend is someone you talk to now and then. I have hundreds of those. A close friend is someone you spend your free time with. I had four of those, then half moved away.

One ENFp and I would entertain ourselves by drawing silly pictures for hours. We would also eat candy (this is fairly recent, not when I was a kid). We'd also be equally puzzled by other's behavior. We'd be like "wow, I don't get this...." "yeah, neither do I..." and we'd do that for hours, lol.

I had another friend who was ENFp, but she was more selfish and I didn't like that. She mostly talked about her problems allll of the time and I got tired of that.

Then I dated two or three ENFp guys. Only one was a "boyfriend" but he seemed to jump into it waaay too fast and then backtracked. It sucks when someone decides to backtrack... The other was more of a fling, and the other one was more of a serious guy, but I wasn't attracted.

So in all, I like ENFps. Whether we stay friends for more than a couple of months remains to be seen, but I think it's possible...still, I'd rather date ISTps if I could find some.
    Hi! I'm an ENFP. :-)

it's the 16th birthday PARTY. "birthday" describes what the party is about, it's a birthday party, not an anniversary party or a bachelor party, a party celebrating the day of one's birth.

Funny though. I normally think about people I talk to now and then, to be acquaintances, not real friends. If I actually call someone my friend, that means that we've talked about serious things and that when we have free time, we choose to spend it with each other over different people.

am I crazy? sometimes I wonder.

Two days ago I met my identical in a gamestop, and it was a female. I really wanted to bone her, and I could tell she wanted to bone with me, but we didn't.

Agreed. I can be pleasant to people and talk to them a few times and in my mind they are not yet my friend, because they do not know me- they most likely have absolutely no understanding of who I truly am underneath. I think being friends with someone is about you knowing them on a deeper level, them knowing you on a deeper level and being cool with that, liking that person. Otherwise what have you got? Is that a friend, someone who does not even connect with you?

I am crazy, fwiw. You know, if you were wondering or something.

    Exactly! thank you, Bee

Here's my definition of friend: if they know me well enough for me to have revealed the fact that I'm crazy (not necessarily in words) and they like me anyway. lol

I am dating my identical right now. We are both SEE's. We fight everyday mostly because we are both very dramatic and manipulating and it doesn't work here like it works with other types. But after 5minutes of fighting we always have a good laught. When I firs saw him I thought "oh so maybe there is someone who is just like me!" now it sometimes bothers me that we are so much alike but still i've been dating my dual just before him and I wasn't that happy about our relationship like i am now..

It is easy to have a relationship with an identical due to complete understanding. However in time it gets annoying, you start to compete after some time and most of the advices/help you get is like "duh! I know that much, why are you telling me this and why you think I don't know that already". Id prefer to keep my identicals as friends.

haha You know, I think even if I found an IEE incredibly attractive, I wouldn't want to have a relationship with them either. For me, the mental stuff always nags at me and eventually takes over. Physicality wouldn't trump mental compatibility for me.

Still going strong. Longest relationship I've ever had, woot, & I am still happy, no desire of breaking up. I can foresee this continuing on for a long, long time =] *Knock on wood* I'd be so content if it did.

Content is a great word to describe the dynamic of the relationship -- just complete ease. And yes, it is actually really funny how a recent poster said that it gets annoying when they try to tell you stuff/give you advice about things you 'already know, dammit!' LOL!

It's almost condescending in a way, to have him give me advice b/c it's not very helpful advice, tbh... but then again, what do I expect? LOL, identicals can't help each-other out much and it's true, but it doesn't stop us from trying. Whenever he has a problem, I really REALLY want to help but it seems he is not very receptive to my attempts either and I have the feeling he also gets this weird condescending, parental-like tone. Even though we both don't mean it.

Identical relationships, imo, have a very solid foundation in which to work with. You both know that you understand the other perfectly, but this is more towards the background.. In a sense, I mean that a lot of petty little disagreements arise here & there but it is healthy to have tiffs like so. My SEE close girl friend and her SEE boyfriend had it even worse -- so many fights, much more openly dramatic than we'd allow our fights to be and she'd constantly complain of his behaviour... HOWEVER, underlying that all was a real stability and I knew she loved him despite her words. When you see them together, you can really feel the chemistry. I think that is how it is between him and I, except he's better than that SEE boy so we didn't have to go through as much shit =P

Identicals can also tend to just shut themselves off from the world, I do believe this is actually similar to what Duals do at first, or am I mistaken? I read that somewhere... about how Duals will just love each-other so much, they'll distance themselves from others for a time in order to rejuvenate around each-other, or something.

I think the biggest strength in Identical relationships (well one of the many strengths) is the real feeling that you are not alone in this world, that you have finally found someone that will always be there with you to comfort you, to struggle WITH you. Despite the lack of guidance, help, etc. that identicals can provide... the empathy is unmatchable, imo.

Scarlettlux, I still think you're an EIE, I can fairly tell the difference between EIE,IEI only becuase thats the type I have focus alot of my energy understanding it. And you seem to have a rich romance world, and very experienced in that walks of life, or maybe too much that you only want more? Who knows, only to say that I would rather be a sexual instinct first, like you.

Aw, yay I am happy for you! High five on identical romances ^-^! I love identical boys, they are so adorable and yummy! I can see what you are saying about them matching up to Duality, I feel the same intense attraction to my IEI that I had (still attracted, but haven't seen him in forever so...) with my SLE, but it's different, like I find my IEI so lovable, and my SLE so magnetic? Can't really describe it. The SLE is lovable too but the IEI is like oozing all this lovable energy!

Hmm, it doesn't sound like mirror. My sister is 'with' an IEI, and she gets so pissy, she is like 'crazy about him' but she says he is an insensitive bastard because he tells her he is going to do something, like meet up with her or hang out at the weekend and then changes his mind. Ok, yes a little rude, but she thinks he is being a complete arsehole. I try and explain it to her, honestly it's insane to think about how little mirrors get each other sometimes. An IEI, would recognize that he is just indecisve and needs a 'sign'.

How long have you guys been together? I wonder when the identical relations get boring! >< Yikes, that scares me, because currently they are mental fun!!!

Oh SLE females <3! I know one! I totally adore her. Never spoken. I think she reckons I have like a girl crush on her because I can't help but look at her when she's sparkling all her SLEness.

    Which is true, I do.

I know a few SLE females and they are really nice people. Especially one of them - really hard-working, helping, with a great sense of humor.
Coming back to the identicals thing - I can't imagine being with any IEE. I need T in partner, no matter what

Hey, dinki, you're so cute LOL Um, yeah I WAS with an SLE for a REALLY short amount of time... long story short, didn't work out at all. Then again, you've probably read a lot of my romantic woes... I've had a fair number of 'relationships' (I put those thingies cause well, they weren't really anything compared to my current one) which I've posted about on this forum. Anyhow, my current has been a little over 8 months now, which is like extremely good for a person who used to have 3 months and > stuff. I'd count the 8 as so much more too because of the sheer amount of time we spend together, it's crazy.

SLEs... I wish I had a better impression of them in real life. Maybe one day they'll win me back, who knows? As for now, I'm pretty darn happy NOT being around any male ones. Female ones might be super fun and chill -- I LOVE my LSI girlfriends!

And numbers -- still see me as EIE? I know, I know. I wanted to be EIE pretty bad, but I think I've accepted my inner, true nature. It's like Bullets & Doves - we appear extraverted somewhat on these forums when we type... very expressive, the capitals... the style of writing. It's unlike Starfall or glam for instance, but that just could be the Ni - Fe subtype differences. They're more enigmatic, I'm more just... out there, bare for all to see. Err.

OK, But you are sure that you are a three? best way to tell is through intergration, stress goes to nine and healthy goes to six?

A girl I was dating said she was oh so great at sex etc, but she didn't do blowjobs.
My reply: Oh I'm really romantic etc, I just will never take you out to dinner.

Well, I definitely know that I go to 9 under stress for sure. It's all about relaxation, forgetting EVERYTHING, all my responsibilities, taking creature comforts -- it's a weird regression of sorts in which I really like to act childish, avoid all conflict and things like this.

I don't know too much about 6 still because it is the hardest enneagram number for me to understand. All I know about 6 is sort of um, negative =/

What about 4, what is the stress & integration again?

Umm that sounds like when i explain enneagram to my INFp, which I type him as 4w5 and he agree with the description as well, 4 to 2 and 5 to 7 when he is stress, so he becomes a bit clingy and when 5 to 7 he tries to forget everything, responsibilities and play like there is no tomorrow. when healthy, 4 to one becomes perfectly capable of responsible and strive for perfection and also very confident when 5 goes to 8. Not sure if that is your case.

Erm.. I can get clingy but the thing about becoming apathetic and detached is much more conducive to my real life behaviours in times of depression, anxiety, etc. I think I used to be more connected to 1 -- I would be more principled & such when healthy and would want to live up to some standards/ideals, but that seems to have dissolved more or less with age. Now, when I'm healthy, I do see myself as more caring and empathetic towards others rather than being self-centered. I do believe I am still 3w4, thanks for clearing that up.

    What is your MSN btw?
