    While of course it is true that people, reality, the universe et al can continuously be deconstructed into more and more complex models without there ever being progress in understanding the "whys and hows" of it all, that does not mean that Socionics is arbitrary from a pragmatic standpoint, or that denouncing subtype theory as it exists in the system is arbitrary or fruitless.

    Just because we can't know the universe does not mean we can't understand and be objective about things we do know. And likewise, even though we can't perfectly see the mechanism that seems be sending general signals to humans telling them which information to include in our systems and which to leave out, we can still exercise our ambiguous common sense and make progress nonetheless.

    We use our mind as the measurement tool to distinguish for example gender,
    so we can also distinguish 16 psychological types, period.
