Most? But just because some of these forum names and celebrities appear on these do not mean that they will not be disupted, especially by those who are sensitive to the idea that the celebrities who may have once been in their quadra have shifted.

Me or those who will actually contest the list?
You. You only mention it in every other post.

What are you talking about? This is a completely baseless assertion. The quoted post was my first post in this thread, and it was one of the first times I have actually stated this. And all I said was that there will be those who will dispute the list? And this makes me a Flame Warrior? indeed.

I was referring to the "quadra bias" part.

can we get convergence statistics on those that did make it onto the list?

I suppose that I do, but it is more of an observation than it is me trying to start confrontation. When typing, at times it feels like there are heated Quadra Wars fighting to lay claim to whatever they can absorb into (or keep unwanted elements out of) their Quadra.

It's just one of those things, there's no helping it.

And how many people participated? The number of responses for each type seems to range from 3-5, which is definitely not many at all for a bench mark compilation.

ya; some of these results reflect the opinion of all of two people. i cannot be the only one to find these incredibly dubious.

for the revised list, i would suggest leaving the number of people having typed to 3, but bring the convergence rate up to 75% to get rid of these.

I agree that the "loosened" criteria for the benchmark list are too flimsy. Two concurrent typings out of three is too little, and there is too much room for chance. I vote for keeping the original criteria of 75% and up out of 4 typings minimum.

But this is still very interesting and provides a focus for debate.

    Dioklecian: ENFp, ENFp, INTj
I agree that Dio is INTj.
I personally feel that he shows lots of Ne and Ti.
When typing someone, he goes from one type to another, not explaining why, and judges subjectively with his own logic. Hmm.

    XoX: ENFp, INFp, INFp
    INFp.

    Johnny Depp: ISFp, ISFp, ISFp
    Could someone please explain why?

Thank you for summing up the excellent argument for Dio being Ti ego.

I personally only had a problem with one typing on the longer list. Anyway, here are the results with the revised criteria:

    Alpha
ILE: Stephen Hawking, Gilligan, Steve, Albert Einstein
    SEI: Bionicgoat, Johnny Depp
    ESE: Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton
    LII: tcaudilllg, Immanuel Kant, UDP

    Beta
    SLE: FDG, Herzy, Mike Tyson
    IEI: Marilyn Monroe, ScarlettLux
EIE: Kristiina, David Bowie, Salvador Dali
    LSI: Rocky, Joseph Stalin

    Gamma
SEE: Sylvester Stallone, Elizabeth Taylor, Britney Spears
ILI: Jonathan, Niels Bohr, Stanley Kubrick
    LIE: Expat

    Delta
    IEE: Rick, Slacker Mom
    SLI: Harrison Ford
    LSE: Arnold Schwarzenegger
    EII: Abraham Lincoln, Richard Gere

I'm going to be really busy over the next few days, so I'll probably continue what work is left on the weekend. Any requests/suggestions/advice is welcome.

@Rick, am I allowed to say who submitted typings? It doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I thought I should ask, especially if we want to publish individual convergences.

Yes, just not the specific typings.

Do you think the minimum of 3 typings per person with 75% convergence or higher is better at this stage (to include a few more people)? Hopefully, next time we will have more participants and will not have to loosen the requirements.

I'm going to post the resulting list at Wikisocion and include a set of pages where arguments for the types (and any other type versions) of the famous people on this list can be provided.

    It seems fine.

Here are the convergences with the final list:

Jon Stephon: No typings in the final list
    Sam: 1.0
    econdude: 1.0
    Ganin (socionics.com): 1.0
    Expat: 0.93
    Subterranean: 1.0
    Rick: 1.0
    Nicky (Slacker Mom): 1.0
    niffweed17: 0.97
Jonathan: No typings in the final list

No matter what the criteria are, they all will be very high because of the low number of participants. Oh well.

For the convergences, we also need to know 1) how many of the person's typings made it into the final list, and 2) how many of these corresponded to the typings in the final list. (see http://www.famo.ru/etalon.php for reference)

ok, I just took the ratio of the two values.

    Jon Stephon: 0/0
    Sam: 18/18
    econdude: 2/2
    Ganin (socionics.com): 1/1

Now I think all that is left to know is whether there were any other versions presented for the people on the list. It would be cool to know how separate lists converged with each other (in "20/24" terms), but only if you have the time. Socionics.com, for instance, had tons of typings, so I'm sure there would be some interesting data other than the "1/1" we have here.

i may become very unpopular for asking this, but can we get a list of all of the 864 people typed as fodder for the next such project?

Yeah, I forgot to ask thehotelambush for this. Maybe in a txt file in alphabetical order?

I can try that. The overlap probably won't be much more significant, though.

ok, I'll get on it ASAP.

I should warn you, I may have overlooked some alternate names (especially forum aliases). That will be fixed for the next round.

I think that some of those typings make sense; what I wonder about is the base for them -- if merely photo VI, yes, I wouldn't take them too seriously. I wonder, though, about a Russian typing Gorbachev as ESTj.

By the way, I think we all understand the potential weaknesses of this methodology. If anyone wants to critique the list and whether it has any worth, there is a place to do so on that page.
