It could also be related to low self esteem
It could also be related to influences of E9 and E7, in some ways. Especially 9 elements. I know delta NFs of all types that do it.
I know some delta STs that do it, in a different way - it's the same mechanism, just sort of used in sensitivity to Fi matters - because of their uncertainty about them or vulnerability about them (and Fe).
alright, i can definitely see what you're saying. i can see this tendency in myself () and i've always attributed it in my mind to my enneagram type, but what you said seems reasonable.
oh, i know. thanks for trying to help me with Fi, though.
the "haha" was in reference to the actual joke and the "wait..what?" was in reference to the mention of EII behavior within the joke.
Scrooge is more LIE IMO, he just sat around all day counting money, no Si activities on the side. Still, gotta love Ducktails

Dunno. Si-creatives seem to be not so good with money, from what I've seen. But remember; money skills = money skills, Si-creative = Si-creative.
Yeah, he's ENTj. He actually has a very mystical outlook on life (believes in fate, lucky totems, etc) and relies on his intuitive insight a lot. Also, no appreciation of comfort.
And as a final and conclusive piece of evidence, his dual, Glittering Goldie, is an ISFj:

Oh okay. That makes sense.
What about this guy? He's the "old man" from Pawn Stars.
He's scrooge-like on the show. Seems ESTj to me. Gotta get one in for Christmas
Scrooge is LSE because his mood is LSE. Hes too tight and regulated with time, not expiremental and opptunistic seeking. He's practical, cynical, skeptical and a workaholic asshole. The writers are giving him Ni to say thats what you need scrooge not a real person blah blah.
Yeah, I agree that SLI are very tight with their money, as my dad and brother are equally tight whereas my dual cousin is very very very generous, as I am; you know, duals have the their heart in the same basket
My duals are actually very funny and light hearted on occasion and very rarely do they let rage out, but in general they look like Fe types because of their role.

Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?
I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I'm good with money. I decided I don't want to spend any money on any transportation more than a bicycle, which leaves me more money to buy better foods.
For scrooge, his interest isn't food, but the feel of the money itself. He doesn't spend money because he doesn't want to abondon his children.
What do you mean by that?
Are you admitting that I'm LSE?
You know...you're probably right. I was thinking about it at the gym and he would fit ISTj with emphasis on Ni and de-emphasis on Fe perhaps from being in the military. If I use the four subtypes I would label him PoLR protective. Yeah ESTj doesn't seem right in retrospect.
i watched the christmas carol movie a few weeks ago and i thought of that scrooge as ESI.
I thought he was a douchebag. itls people like HIM that lead to the global economic crises!!!!!
shake fist
Who?
HIM
how can he smoke so much but have such clear eyeballs?
He must spend a lot of money on eyeshadow, so maybe he's helping the economy.
It's almost nice that I don't actually know who that is.
OR maybe they used PHOTOSHOP.come out of your head, delta!
insight help from an LSE and see how generous they can be - they have that superhero quality about wanting to help out especially when that gives them feedback that they are "great" and "appreciated"; being extraverts, they look to get affirmation of their character from the outside world that's why they reach out to help, because they need the external feedback...and LSE tend to, as described in the socioniko site, do everything they can for their emotionally close friends.
On another note, I saw one LSE who was not generous in paying for something for their friends, like concert tickets, saying "they can pay their own way," but is generous in helping them in other ways...this was probably due to a financial crunch though.

i actually think Pride and Prejudice is somewhat delta. It is definitely not Gamma, and I'd say not so much beta, either. Possibly alpha, but, it seems too 'serious' to be alpha, too much actual social commentary.
I'm talking more so about the BBC version... the 2000s version with McFaden doesn't make hardly any sense unlesss you've read the book or saw the BBC version.
"HERO", with Jet Li, is a very very Chinese take on delta values. Talk about "conservative" delta themes, that's it. A nameless hero seeks the ultimate truth, which happens to also be what a vagabond beliefs, which also happens to be thwarting a would-be emperor only to give up his life for the good of the entire nation, so the emperor can have supreme rule over all of the nation. Definitely a way to sugar coat Emperor Ch'in's reign. But, I still found the movie enjoyable.
The Man in the Iron Mask, possible also delta.
The videogame Harvest Moon is supremely delta. Or at least the oldschool HM games were.
You're on a farm.
You build it up.
It's boring but rewarding.
You have a nice little community of people.
Chickens lay eggs
Goodfellas is done by an ISTp, shot/narrated in a very delta way, and stars an ESTj.
Notes on a Scandal stars an ESTj and INFj, and I believe to be about a developing ESTj-INFj duality and INFj-ISTp activity relation gone dull.
