not beta NF lol
as Fi valued types are more serious to say a truth (Te) they should swear _lesser_ to have lesser risk to break own promise. more it's about J types. IEE in my limited experience were easy to say and do nothing, to take something "on a time" and return after everyone forgotten they took it, etc
hence, as I did a comment, I should be not so awful
also my typing skills would change nothing in the situation

type should be obvious, whaddya say @soundofconfusion
I remember listening to Figure 8 a couple of times some years ago, but I didn't develop an interest in his music. I always thought that he was most likely an NF type. in the interviews I've seen of him, he comes off as a very introverted person that's detached from reality. what's your opinion?

@9:10 in my video
I think we lost our leadership, because back in the old days when I went into the navy, one of the first things we learned was the quality of leadership, there was loyalty up, and loyalty down, respect your superior, keep him informed of what you're up to and take care of your crew, and that's what we lost somewhere. you manage things, and you lead people, and I think we failed to accept that responsibilty.
I think the reason we lost this is because of a tremendous push to financial management, the business schools taught it, it spread through the colleges. the whole thing was managment, not leadership.
how is this an N trait? seems strongly leaning towards beta and S.
I have to say that: as vulnerable functions seems absurd to me for Grace Hopper.
One phrase from her:
“The most dangerous phrase in the language is, 'We’ve always done it this way.'” — She definetly valued innovation.
Do not type by random words people which you do not know personally. Such people should be typed by special typing methods (tests, typing questionnaires) or by nonverbal, - as the main approach.
There is nothing in that text to be sure in S type. She is about subordinancy and duties, much by Ti region. Even if there would be more specific for S type, some public words are lesser important than nonverbal. As nonverbal is more global about the personality and is more stable for external influences.
Take descriptions of 4 dichotomies and 8 functions. Clearly understand the difference between them. And then try to intuitively feel to which ones a human is closer. So you'll do lesser mistakes with famouses.
so you're saying that she's leaning towards Ti too? what type would you suggest? there aren't many other options. I think it's strange that you lecture me here when you type women that pop balloons in their videos without saying a word tbh. you really need to work on the way you write. you come off as extremly arrogant.
@soundofconfusion You yourself made a whole bunch of posts on this page typing people with no explanation. Why would you pick something so obviously hypocritical to lecture Sol about.
because he send me this exact same message several times now. you need to learn more about model A, "Take descriptions of 4 dichotomies and 8 functions. Clearly understand the difference between them.", and I've explained him several times that I build a german website on socionics with around a thousand pages of translations doing exactly what he claims I should do for 4 years now. it becomes irritating to me. (http://soziotypen.de/theorie/)
you can believe my typings or not, that's up to you. I will explain them when I feel like it or have time, which is not often the case, and I'm open about changing my typings when someone presents new evidence. (I personally think that sol is pretty bad at typing, so it's hard for me to take him seriously, my own opinion I guess).
Winnie's suggestion was constructive without him being arrogant about it. I think that's more helpful
fair enough. I just feel an immense irritation from him, because I read a lot about the people I type (sometimes several hours), discuss my typings with friends, and then sol comes in and it's clear to me that he hasn't read a single thing about the person and writes "mb F type". that's my personal problem I guess but I can't do much about it.
Hopping back to Grace Hopper. Ok, misdirected bad wordplay, should've gone to /dev/null. Data garbage collection error.
vulnerable to my understanding is basically the fear of unknown aspects in life, which I can't see in Grace Hopper.
Two quotes from her from the linked video starting at 11:02
"...risks. Bigger awards got to people that take the big risks. ...A ship in a port is safe, but that is not what ships are build for."
And she seems a creative subtype to me...
LSI tend to use in much more focused and specific way. They don't value or dislike talking about hypothetical scenarios.
I think some other quotes are more interesting

it does seem to me that she's very open about new ideas, risking things, so LIE seems like a valid suggestion. I initially ruled that type out because of her negative comments about management and business etc.
I don't think she's a creative subtype. normalising fits her better, especially because this subtype has a Ti accentuation. maybe I will create a thread about creative subtypes in the future, they are very emotionally expressive because of their Fe accentuation. you would type me as an extrovert if you met me in person for example.
@WinnieW
watched more of her videos and I'm really leaning strongly towards IEI
Sol why the fuck are you on a forum where you’ve typed almost everyone on it as your conflictor lmao
Grace Hopper seems LSI. Military, leader, math, detailed and clear lack of emotional pressure although she seemed to give dramatic lessons for stupid people and wanted to give lots of minimal time based symbolism for concrete objects.
