I like that guy but he holds himself like an irrational, makes me question the Ti LSI typing. he's also kind of got SI eyes. I'm thinking maybe some form of Si base, likely SEI. then again my only experience of him is 5 minutes of this youtube. he's also talking about caregiving in both the self and other directed sense, very Si worldview

He makes several situational predictions in the course of the talk "Your going to recognize yourself in these descriptions", "Now you're going to think..." which sounds like he's putting his Ni "hidden agenda" on display. Almost like he wants to seen as precognizant and it's rubbing me the wrong way but it is how Ni sometimes manifests in the child archetype. Si leads don't attempt to build this kind of image. I could see may be ESI For him as an alternative.

It could be Ni role, but then there is that statement that he ignores his own comfort and pain levels, which does not sound like valued Si: "... they cut out a piece of a torn cartilage, which I incurred because I used to jog on cement, and I didn't pay attention attention to the fact that it hurt jogging on cement, and I missed the lecture in school on the relationship between pain and damage." It's pretty typical of Beta STs, and Se-ego types in general, to ignore their own pain and discomfort i.e. their internal physical state (suppressed Si), which then lead to them picking up various health issues.

I'm sure on some level he knew it hurt, my take on that is he didn't think it would result in permanent damage, and was within tolerable threshold. I think this would go to the "exceptions" category of strong Si. you make it sound like they reflexively and always avoid all discomfort, which is more like 2d Si. I think of 2d functions as being straightforward and linear in that sense, whereas strong functions can develop a "taste" for the "negative" aspects. in other words this seems to be a failure of rationality not necessarily perception, he admits it felt bad, it was the fact he did not pay attention to, in terms of what it might lead to. sounds like a Ne Te weakness, or at least could be interpreted as such
