I think I get both opinions (in a way). It seems as if objective and subjective-objective approaches collide.
I still think I could be identical or at least somehow very "similar" type with Phaedrus.
Phaedrus, you make an assumption that our doubting something is based on nothing. It seems that you fail to remember that ENFps accept our perceptions. If we do not perceive something to be true, but someone pushes it as being true, we find it easier to accept our perceptions than the other person's judgments. As ENFps, we are aware that there are likely other possibilities, other options.Originally Posted by Phaedrus
If we do not perceive someone as being type X, then we are aware that there are likely other possibilities, other options, other perceptions that may fit better.
If, however, we can easily perceive someone as being type X, we may still be aware that there could be other possibilities, other options, but we are more willing to accept the current requested perception….at least until something better comes along or too many exceptions are asked for. In other words, at the point where perceiving someone as being type X no longer becomes possible or it takes quite a bit of effort, we'll open our mind up to the other possibilities, other options.
Currently, it is quite easy to perceive Expat as being TeNi. Some of us would fairly easily accept TeSi as a possiblity. But if we were asked to accept him as.. say.. SiFe, then that would be too far a stretch, would require too many exceptions, and would totally clash with our perceptions of him. So no, we would not accept claims of his being SiFe.
Slacker, if something I said here doesn't fit or you perceive it differently, by all means share.

I get dual vibes from Expat. When I ask him questions he tends to answer me in exactly the right way, easy to understand, direct, without useless information, and seems to get what I'm trying to say. He's cleared a few things up for me.
I'd go as far as saying that this could be the only piece of evidence against him being ENTjOriginally Posted by discojoe
