lol. Sadly enough, they probably are beta. I'd lean J-sub Rational, overall.

No @ Modest Mouse being beta.
Yeah, I figure Fe/Ti axis alphas for Modest Mouse, with tinges of Fe/Ti beta emphases. Their music feels more explorative and innocently wistful.
I think that whole "Am I bright enough to shine in your spaces?" thing is a rather Se + Fe valuing sentiment.
The Killers in general just seem pretty IEI to me. The lead singer looks sorta creepy though... like he's put something in your drink or like he has the capacity to get violent if he was really upset about something.
Maybe? (Sorry, can't find the real music video for this song.)
My LSI friend is obsessed with The Killers and has a man-crush on Brandon Flowers. Agreed that he looks like he could kill a man if you pushed him. I don't really have that much of an opinion on type for the Killers, but I would believe IEI for Brandon.
Anybody know "Jack's Mannequin" or have opinions on type? Good chance the lead singer of that is IEI too.
EDIT: Actually, nvm, I don't really think Jack's Mannequin lead singer is IEI anymore.
Thoughts on Phoenix? I think not-beta, but I like their music. Possibly alpha/gamma? I might bet alpha over gamma.
Not a rule, just a trend.
IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.
Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...
I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.
My SLE friend from back home asked me this very question. I granted his request.Originally Posted by Joy

Enjoy!
Freddie Mercury was, IMO, one of the greatest singers on record in rock... Maybe I'm biased... He was the same type as me, Fe-ENFj... I feel a lot of empathy for him and relate to his lyrics.
Also... Look at the way he controls the crowd in this video (the first one, 1:45 and again at 3:14...) I haven't seen someone control this many people's gestures in unison except Adolph ****** in Triumph of the Will...
Two ENFjs (albeit different subtypes,) who used their (Socionics-related) capabilities very differently.
Not sure where this one belongs, anyways I am beta and love this tune atm. And the bass player is a beta extravert (EIE) I think... the pianist is LII I suppose. I am not a huge jazz fan normally but this little arrangement of a Swedish folk tune is pure genius.
Enjoy:

Here's some super-Beta music from UNKLE:
There's no such thing as quadra music.

Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?
I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Back when new music was actually good.
Us, INFj's can listen to any music, but loud and offensive we usually can't because we have super sharp hearing and it hurts our ears so we need a lot of quiet...humm I like Mozart, Beethoven, Bach; I like kind music and melodic, but really love dance music and fast techno too. I love love music and romantic comedy movies...this is N.
But, if you catch us listening to the moment when we feel like listening to loud music, you might miss our type if you didn't know who we really are.

Nick Cave is great, but I prefer his Birthday Party period. Oh, and his current, bald, old fart back-to-rock period.
What would you type him as?
Pete is pretty cool .... when he's not fucked up.
Kate Ryan is beautiful.
But what a strange accent in her french, eh?
ah she´s flemish. there´s nothing more odd than dutch and flemish people speaking french. they manage to be even odder than french speaking canadians.
Sincerely Yours,
Beyond the clouds. Beyond the sun.
The Rebel without a cause.
awesome lyrics..

Music that would stereotypically be typed as Beta is the best IMO.
Rap and Hip-hop in general seems very Beta and I like it a lot.
though I don´t like the american flag he waves in this video.

Arch Enemy seems Beta enough. The lead singer Angela Gossow seems like some beta extrovert at any rate.
