    Default Examples of SLEs/ESTps

Here are two of the clearest examples of ESTP in the public eye whom I’m aware of (and two of my favorite people, as well).

ESTP – logical subtype, Senator Chuck Hagel (R- NE)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U8Zyinwit4

ESTP – sensory subtype, UFC champion Chuck Liddell

    http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xyo...ddell-on-conan

The fact that they’re both named Chuck is simply a coincidence (or is it? dun dun dun). Watch and learn .

    - an inquisitive infp

ESTps may initially come off as introverts because they tend to be very laid-back and low-key, as Liddell is (I believe this oft-misunderstood ESTp trait was discussed in another thread). ISTjs are much more serious, reserved, and strait-laced; they tend to reveal less of themselves and are more oriented toward work and responsibility than sensation-seeking and free-spiritedness. This is not to say that ESTps don't work hard - they do - but unlike many ISTjs, they don't live to work - they work to live.
ISTjs are also very stubborn and often prefer an argument over a leisurely conversation. Liddell is very jovial and sociable (you should see him with women) - he's laughing and smiling in most of his interviews and is incredibly difficult to intimidate/perturb because of his even-tempered, easy-going nature. Also, I sense that he has a disdain for many J-type activities (he has a degree in accounting - a profession suited to ISTjs - but says that he would never want to use it) because of his uninhibited ways both inside and outside the ring. Lastly, his demeanor on Conan epitomizes the Socionics ESTp description:

"When in conversation, ESTps always show self-restraint and tact. They generally interact in an open and friendly manner, always showing positive emotions."

He's also slightly cocky (but then again, he has a right to be), hedonistic (after winning his title, he apparently partied in Las Vegas for three days non-stop), and desirous of attention (look at the mohawk, people), so in essence I think he's very much an Se-dominant extrovert.
But I could certainly be wrong.

FDG, what do you think? I'm in need of your ESTp-ness on this issue . I'd also love to hear from any ISTjs who might be interested.

yeah, all those words mean stuff. That doesn't mean he's not an introvert.

ahaha just kidding. The more serious issue is professional atheletes. They seem very important. Anybody else with me? Guys who punch other people out are certainly my heros. I'm sure some teen is out there right now debating suicide, but in the back in the mind is his hero, chuck liddell, saving him, teaching him, showing him that by beating the shit out of people you can be awesome. Fight on, soldier.

    Thanks for the videos.

They seem super intimidating though, I don't see how they would get along with a person like me

More videos of ESTps, please!? It's so difficult for me to recognize real-life ESTps.

Reminds me of the ESTps I know. Anyway, I wish there are videos of ESTjs and ENTjs too, then I know how to differentiate them better.

Hahaha! That doesn't seem so "typical" to me, lmao. But yah, at least Rich seems like a very nice guy. Soo intense though, I like the motivation. Never give up.

So.. been wondering - are ESTps usually involved with stuff like that? Physical contact sports, exercising maniacally?
Hmm. It just scares me somewhat.

Not all, when you go up on the instruction level many stop exercising and become zombies. but probably if tests were administered in a gym and, even more, football field, estps would come out pretty high in percentage. i personally prefer sports that require a certain amount of skills over brute force...

Yeah, and he needs a sensible INFp by his side, someone to tell him to stop the torture. He's totally overtraining. weightlifting is all about breaking the muscle tissue so it can grow to be bigger. If it's already broken, it's no point to break it again in the same places with the same weights. If he's already done 3 sets with personal maximum weights, he's done enough (although 5 sets would probably be ok too). After that, he's just damaging his muscle tissue... Poor guy with an insane overtraining ESTp.

Caaalm down Kri that's a 3weekly workout based on resistance. He's never doing max weights because he uses 10*10 parameters, so he's basically not training for size but for resistance. This doesn't mean he's not overtraining but, again, he's not trying to building size, so overtraining is actually necessary.

    Default Examples of SLEs/ESTps

    See http://amenclinics.com/forums/index.php?topic=1083.0 for the context.

and there it is...futuristic...which means - drum roll please - socialized health care!! And you're part of this 'grass roots' movement I am sure.

Why can't you just leave us alone to take are meds in peace? Why can't we, according to you, just 'kill' ourselves in peace?

Why do you have to make such a big issue over NOTHING. There is no crime against humanity with meds. The United States of America has the strictist med standards in the WORLD. Do you understand that??

So all this crap you say is being put into meds to slowly kill us is just what you're spewing out here - a load of total CRAP.

Again, you're not here to 'help' people.

You're here to push an agenda because of some pimply rash or something - LOL - that got on your kid (if you have one) I don't know but it's sad and funny at the same time.

Heck - why don't you have more kids to replace the ones you got?? Why not swell to a family size of 10-12, and heck if you loose a few, you still have a few to carry on your gene - which at this point - is a scary proposition.

1 in 3 million - 3 in 1 million - really irrellevent at that point. So we loose a few - big deal.

Think of the rest who are living happy productive lives because of our medication - and parents who can now breathe a sigh of relief because their kids can live normal lives!!!

I just seems you only look at the absolute most negative thing in a 'small infiticimal' number of people and try to RUIN happy productive lives for the rest of us who are doing GREAT on medication!!

    Are you getting this yet?

You want futuristic? Here it is. Get out of the way of pharmaceutical companies so they can, IN THE FUTURE, produce more and even BETTER medications!!!

They may get something wrong every now and then - BIG FRICKIN deal.

That doesn't mean you have to ruin it for EVERYONE.

Holy crap - I'll bet you you are one of those who opposes Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, 4th of July - because a total of less than 3 in 1 million oppose it. Ya hate yourself so much you have to spew it all over here.

You want something to really complain about? How about the morning after pill - statistics on that - your ready? 68 in 1000 - DEAD - why don't you spend your time on THAT!

Give us a break - we just want to have a happy medicated filled day.

It makes me happy. Or would you rather I sit miserable, take illegal drugs, or shoot myself instead having a few years of happy productive living.

Go away - ya just make me sick ya really do.

A lot of people have varying degrees of ADD tendencies, but it's not really an actual disorder unless it causes you problems and disrupts your life. Did you take that test I linked you to?

    Here's the diagnostic criteria.

I actually find it nearly impossible to tell the difference between female ESTps and ESFps. Also sometimes I confuse them with the grungy variety of ENFjs unless I interact with them for a while. Female ESTps can be very caring and come across very feelery, actually.

But anyway, I think this woman might be ESTp, yes.
"How could we forget those ancient myths that stand at the beginning of all races, the myths about dragons that at the last moment are transformed into princesses? Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

She does not look ESFp. Logical type is likely, maybe even rational. If irrational, SLE might be possible.

    She's not an ESFP.

I would say, ESTP is plausible.
