Well there seems to be 1001 different variations of English accents in the UK, (which is funny because it's about the size of Wisconsin) so they can't all be represented on TV. I will say though that I have heard British people in RL (lots of them in Florida) speak with accents I've heard on TV.
yeah, i agree with this. i think that the extremes generally aren't heard in the media (sort of like we don't typically have super deep south newscasters in the states.) i've heard brits speak with accents i've heard on tv, too, but i've heard them speaking with accents that really throw me for a loop. and i consider myself reasonably good at interpreting accents.

Try to listen to someone speaking in the Glasgow accent (sorry Cyclops).

I don't know about clubs, but certainly not on the streets, not these days -- perhaps around 20 years ago. I am much, much more familiar with Edinburgh than Glasgow, but I've never had any reason to be concerned when in Glasgow. Or in Edinburgh - I've wandered through the streets of Edinburgh at 2am without a qualm.

As per request, here's a list of ESI celebrities, (in effort to give newcomers correct benchmarks.)
For a long time now, this type has been a dumping ground for mistyped betas... If people here investigate some of these celebrities, hopefully it will lead them to a more accurate understanding of the type.
Johnny Carson (Fi subtype)
Clarence Thomas (Se subtype)
Richard Nixon
Diane Sawyer
Claudia Black
General George Casey
Avery Brooks
Morgan Freeman
Paul McCartney
Chris Wallace
Kurt Warner
John McCain
Jim Nantz
Gerald Ford
Kate Winslet
Lester Holt
John O’Hurley
Edward R. Murrow
William H. Macy

To compare the ISFj subtypes, look at interviews of Clarence Thomas--a glaring example of the Se subtype--with Richard Nixon... An excellent example of the Fi subtype.
Other ISFj celebrities:
Kevin Costner, who is often cited as ISTp here, is probably Se-ISFj.
Troy Aikman is Se-ISFj.
Please feel free to add more famous ISFjs to the list.
Why Paul McCartney? I get an Alpha Fe vibe from him, also, some things he has said sound incredibly odd for an Fi or Te dominant
"I don't take me seriously. If we get some giggles, I don't mind."
"We didn't all get into music for a job! We got into music to avoid a job, in truth - and get lots of girls."
some likely ESI's not mentioned
Diane Neal
Christopher Nolan
Stellan Skarsgård
David Wenham
Martha Stewart
Tiger Woods
oh forgot to mention Meg Ryan, whose been mentioned a few times on this site. The infamous Micheal Parkinson interview is a good example of ESI vs ILE conflictors, very uncomfortable to watch...

David Hasselhoff
Pamela Anderson
Cosner is definitely SLI over ESI.

I really enjoy watching conflictor and dual interviews. Strong feelings either way are wonderful to watch. However, Meg was kind of a b in that clip, and the poor old codger was just trying to have a nice interview. If ESIs are that serious about everything, and LIEs are pretty darn serious, how is an LIE-ESI relationship anything but boring...? And yeah, clear Fe-Fi conflict there, very socionics-typical.
Anyway, I quite enjoyed that interview. Also, Meg Ryan totally misused the word "remission." That metaphor (at least with the word remission) was a fail.
Not a rule, just a trend.
IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.
Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...
I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.
You know, I think she had probably met the host earlier which may be why she came out being saucy, just a guess though
I don't think LIE's are necessarily "super-serious" just that they take the same things ESI's value seriously.
The host kind of came off like he was mocking (though not purposely) things Meg (as an ESI) values and because of her PoLR she couldn't see things from the other guys perspective
PoLR's rarely compromise anything when they've decided on something, which is both admirable and irritating

Baroness Warsi, possibly
I'd suggest Anton Yelchin as ESI. Specifically through his natural performance as Jacob in the movie Like Crazy :)
this thread is horrible. just awful. no one had any understanding of what an isfj was hah
maybe a saint is just a dead prick with a good publicist
maybe tommorow's statues are insecure without their foes
go ask the frog what the scorpion knows
ahhh haha. I have to admit I didn't thoroughly read most of it. Was sort of responding to subteigh's thread revival.
Unless you're including both of us in that bracket?
I currently have a suspicion that the historian Nina Ramirez is an ESI (if so, she would be a very awesome example) (edit: recently noticed that she self-types as ENFP in MBTI).

Nina Ramirez - ISFP(?)
Yeah, never mind my old astrasilky posts in this thread. I have come upon better data and understanding since those years ago. Plus I think I self-typed as INTP per tests then.

I'm going with SEE for Pink.
Judge Judy as LSI, or LSE depending on how you interpret socionics.
Reese Witherspoon could be ESI, I've seen her typed LSI by others. I think Legally Blonde was one of her best movies even though its ridiculous.
Reese Withering Spoon looks awfully like dominant ESI.
Pink can't be one though. SEE butch sub (probably same sub as Donald Trump).

Pink is SEE or SLE. Look at this song trying to empower the easily bullied IEI artistic girl (an ESI wouldn't give a shit as much, no offense)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocDlOD1Hw9k
Also 'please don't leave me.'
In real life I think she's more SEE, cuz she seems to like her men more on the NT douche-y side rather than the more emotional IEI, but she does feel semi-dualish with IEI.
Have the people I posted here seemed like ESIs or SLEs? I am doing a massive type audit.
I deleted the proposals here. Thanks to those who disagreed with me and suggested SLEs for some of them. I think you were right.
