When you walk on the beach don't you get sand in your shoes? It's like the first shoe kicks it up in the air then the other shoe catches it

That's why I prefer stone beaches.

I 've always liked beaches with small stones more than sand beaches, partly because I hate how sand sticks to your naked feet like dirt when you leave the water. On stones, your feet stay clean. Thin white sand is much better than thick or mixed sand beaches though.

Does that mean we're duals too? Or has everyone decided that I'm SEI and not IEI now?

    I'm so confuzzled.

dark red or dark blue, too lazy to look up actual colour names, or silver depending... new order i think, maybe, only if no one else is on the beach, 9-10 matters what shoe, don't really differentiate between different meals so sometimes eat steak for breakfast and cereal for dinner and can't simply answer a question simply to save my life, when i'm sober anyways, hopefully i've made this thread more confusing for anyone who reads it lol

Default Would an INFP do this?

This is a stupid and random question, but it has me lol'ing.

Okay, so all the nerds here at work insist on dressing up for Halloween. There's this girl next to me whom I typed as IEI...she says next to nothing to anyone--ever. Hell, I talk more than her and that in itself is saying a lot. Anyway, today she shows up in this skimpy nurses outfit with all the fixings...hooker heels, makeup, wig, etc. My jaw dropped when she came 'round the corner. I've never heard her speak before!

Closet freaks, I tell ya. This of course is clear indication she's IEI, correct?

I remember one of my IEI friends did this exact thing...'course, not in hooker heels and makeup, but he thoroughly enjoyed shocking people when halloween came around...loved to do things out of character. Very eccentric, he was.

I could see myself going all out if I went to a big Halloween party or something; I doubt I'd over do it though.
Same. Strangely, I've never actually been invited to a real Halloween party for adults.

I'm the only one who refused to dress up today. lol. No thanks, not my style. I haven't dressed up since i was 8.

I'm not an infp, but my best friend is.
He'll definitively do something like that, juste to prove you won't ever be able to categorize him (sorry if it's not written in good english - blaah i'm french).

Actually, he asks me from time to time : how do you see me ?
Then i see that floaty image form in my mind... and i say... you're kind, reserved and somewhat untouched by reality.
Then he gets slightly upset that everyone sees him like that and begins to rebel. He is VERY rebellious but you don't SEE it on him (or you do when he decides to let his beard grow more and more and... outch)

Last time he came with : I want to do something out of the ordinary, what could i do ?
I thought that he needed more human contacts, so i told him that whenever he sit next to a stranger in the train, he would engage a conversation.
He began to pout, it was too ordinary. What was on his mind was more like jumping naked from an airplane (except for the parachute) !!!

I have the urges to do that but I never did it. Only because Michigan is super tough on sex offender laws lol. If I did something like that they'd take it totally the wrong way, as opposed somebody doing it in California lol. And still, there's not much fun walking naked around old people anyway ew.

Walking naked in the woods can be hot though. As long as you don't get maul-raped by bears I guess.

This is why when if I actually do a costume and wear it to work, I make sure to have a dialog that goes with it.

    Lol Starfall!

Omg, for sure! I love doing crazy things to shake people up so that it makes them hard to label me. I hate bing labeled, it's like saying I don't have any potential to be anything else! I get such a kick out of showing people my crazy side, I feel untouchable when I do something wack and people are like whoaaa, and I get so amped on that !

    It is me.

You know, I have given it some thought before. I've had people suggest for me to do stand-up comedy, which I might one of these days.

I dunno, I think I could pull it off, but I also understand the kind of dedication and sacrifice it takes to do the profession, which I'm not sure at this point in my life that I'd have in order to succeed at it.

I also don't want to be a one trick pony either, which I'm sort of afraid this bit might turn into. Right after I busted out with this routine, the person who I said "LAY OFF THE DOOBIE" in the video is the HR head and VP of the place I work at, I'd say she's most likely an ESFp. So, she had this idea of doing something similar for a small business luncheon for the city's Chamber of Commerce next week. I've had others like come up and be like "Oh man, you could totally get paid for doing something like this!" Which, I mean, it's cool that people enjoy it so much, I just, I dunno, like I said I don't want to be a one trick pony. I'd rather have a series of talents I can do in order to feel better about doing it as a profession.

Like shows like America's Got Talent, a lot of that stuff to me is one trick pony stuff. Granted, I've seen videos of extremely talented people that come through every once in a while, but I mean, stuff like juggling, or side show talents, I just can't do that, nor do I really want to pursue something to that end. I just don't like the end result of being a worn out act, wearing out my welcome. I'd hate that.

As an aside, it's interesting how the INFp's are responding here because I find it interesting when I do something like this, and people go "WOW, I have seen a completely different side of you! Where did this come from?"

It's kind of a neat feeling to see that discovered in others, but it's not really something I thrive on though. It is pretty cool though to feel like I have that kind of control to do something a little bit outside of the "norm" that I show to people.

I'm in a college town where Haloween is huge, everyone goes out downtown and mills around. Anyhow I dressed up as a sluty litttle red riding hood too as a joke; except I am a dude. There was about 10 other female red riding hoods(out of thousands). It kind of freaked me out that I did it but I doesn't really matter in retrospect. And yes I'm IEI. I couldn't ever take it seriously and actually do it.

Interesting that I'm in a way the opposite to INFp's. I like to keep up the image of some stereotype people have formed about me. If I find it interesting. The end result is although the same. That at some point their stereotypical idea of me is going to brake, but in my case it's because they find out the real truth, definetly not that I try to shock them.
...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Everything will disappear. And what human beings do is just as free of sense as the free motion of elementary particles. Good, evil, morality, feelings? Pure 'Victorian fictions'.

i think it would depend.. i mean i think infp will generally not do things that will really disturb everyone else around them or create attention on them in such an obvious way.. but maybe some... irl i see many ENFj wear things that do not look very good at all (like they seem to not realize the effect the clothes have).. but in the case of halloween there's that extra factor whether the social norm aspect is amplified. I could see an Se type.. maybe if shes quiet then not really SEE, possibly ISFj. Maybe INFj or even INTj

i think i do that too. but probably for different reasons. Like people thinking I was a lesbian. I think that i just let them think that and was amused.

A little tip tereg, try to be less repetitive with your physical gestures.
