She was a pharmacist and the chairwoman of the local town council who was running for the Finnish Parliament in the elections next spring.

She died at her home from 69 stabbing wounds early on the morning of July 17th, 2006. Her husband is the only suspect. Currently on trial for murder. The case has got a lot of publicity in Finland. Unfortunately I could not find any other pictures of the husband, Jarmo Björkqvist, online.
