The Chinese government is more harmful to people than the American government. Look how they treat people living in their own country. I mean, they don't even represent their own citizens because they have no democracy.
They're hated by their neighbours. It's quite telling that a Communist country such as Vietnam who was in a war with the USA less than 50 years ago in which many Vietnamese died prefers the USA to China.
The Chinese government's handling of the pandemic has led to millions of deaths worldwide and millions more people reduced in health, along with a collapse in the world economy for years which itself has negative side-effects.

I cannot deny China's Issues and faults, however saying the American government is less harmful is just not true at all. There are milions of homeless, impoverished and/or oppressed people living in the US due to the system of Capitalism and their method of government. Not to mention all the countries and people that America has ravaged over the centuries (not talking just socialist states here). I'd also imagine the reason many foreigners view America as a "great place to live, above all" because of the years and years of the image of the "American Dream" which does NOT exist, aswell as obvious propaganda towards other countries. Capitalism in general has murdered and violated Billions and continues to aswell, whether through colonialism, poverty, intervention, slavery etc.
The homeless rate per capita in China is almost certainly higher than the USA. The inequality rate in China is essentially the same as the USA (which is bad), and China is much poorer than the USA, in large part because of Communism. The USA is also far from the best capitalist country, yet it is still far superior to China.
Capitalism has not murdered billions of people.
China engages in slavery, the USA does not, aside from poor wages for its prison population.
In China it is forbidden to speak the truth, nevermind abroad. The USA has one of the lowest levels of corruption in the world.
China pays for schools abroad to indoctrinate people with Chinese propaganda, and expects its nationals abroad to act as spies for the state. There are numerous instances of Chinese nationals informing on the activities of ordinary people it considers its enemies. It's a common occurrence to see Chinese thugs beating up those who are critical of China.
The reason why countries surrounding China hate China is because they have experience of it.
People migrate FROM China, not to it, and people migrate TO the USA, not from it. This would not be sustained if the USA was as bad as you make out.
I'm not even American, but the fact is, even though it's a country far from ideal, it is still far superior to China.
