So I do have something to say on why I think cancel culture makes no sense. I think it never really lasts. In my opinion, cancel culture seems to only ruin a minority of people. Over the years there have been a lot of celebrities who have been canceled at one point or another. And you know what happens after some time passes? People forget and go back to supporting them. Well some might not forget, but ultimately it seems like the majority does or they just don't care. I know how I am. It's hard for me to hold a certain point of view on someone for an extended period of time so I don't publicly cancel anyone. If it's not gonna last, why do it anyways?
