We believe in freedom and free speech but you definitely can't talk against the police, capitalism, racism, etc. Right.

The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

Tom McDonald is so innocent. Like a lamb. I'd feel bad for criticizing him. Stupid innocent doesn't know when he is walking over someone. I can't defend myself against this without feeling bad.

Are you expecting something better? If so, what, and how will it come about?

We can only hope that as things get more fucked good leaders end up developing from it. When everything's crashing and burning that's when the world is truly democratic.

If you hate it so much why do you live in it? Tom MacDonald sacrificed his haircut and his teeth for you. If you hate our Great Era that much, I'll help you pack your bags! Censorship is for your safety and to protect America, increasing the defense/police budget is for peace in the streets, freedom of speech is to say only what I like or else you leave! What a nice example of self-brainwashed doublethink.

The U.S. is lucky to have this Trumpist authoritarian reactionary period while the memory of Nazism is still fresh. "History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce." - Karl Marx
