    Default Hello Everyone I'm New

I just registered to become a member of this site. I am interested in Socionics and I would like others to tell me what type I am.
I look forward to meeting everyone.

The custom on this forum is to make a type me thread and answer a questionnaire, but if you just wanna know your type it is simpler and more effective to take the original test here https://www.sociotype.com/tests/ . Then you could post pictures/video to confirm via non-verbal and VI.

Welcome . I love your name.
The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

Personally I recommend you type yourself and then cross-reference with others later. If you don't understand the theory yourself enough then all you'll be able to go off of is who sounds the most convincing, and people can very often make convincing arguments for things that are completely false, so I wouldn't recommend relying on others for that. You'd be better served by learning about the information elements and then asking in forum questions or checking the old forum posts if there's something about the elements that you don't understand. Then again I'm IEI and we're kind of known for not trusting worldviews outside of our own lol
