hmm if Haydn really was LSE though, that would be something to consider
(it would not be easy for me to see Ludwig van as dominant or weak in )

ESI makes some sense to me. I don't think he is beta or delta. Plus, when you put together things like his money stuff, deep resentment towards his father, avid desire to form a family (and his consequent struggles to get his nephew under his custody) and the fact that he would get pissed off at slight things but apologize a lot the next day and his close circle of friends, it becomes clear he's Fi base or at least values Fi.
Some of his music points towards Beta (tumultuous, intense, Fe dramatism) ..I would say Beta NF, maybe EIE.
It just feels intense to me, more focused than dramatic. It certainly isn't like a Romantic piece of music in its expressiveness and drama, like say, Wagner.
Well I'm a delta and I like his music so he can't be a beta. (lol)
His late period in particular strikes me as delving very deep into Ni. His composing method also suggests he was Ni-ego:
There's strong evidence for either EIE or ILI, but EIE is a better fit imo. It's clear that Beethoven would focus intensely on something ineffable and profound that he wanted to express in his music and would change whatever he found inadequate in this regard. He was obsessive in fine-tuning his compositions, but what was paramount to him was impact of the total work: he wanted his music to have the same gravity as a poem by Goethe or a play by Shakespeare. FeNi fits better with that than NiTe or any other alternative."My custom even when I am composing instrumental music is always to keep the whole in view."
Going to go on a limb and assume he is the same type as Hans Zimmer. They VI similar as well. ENTj?
Strong working knowledge of music itself, chords, sheet music, coordinating orchestras, a frontal creative person, epic abilities, passion in musical form, powerful themes.
I would say he was an LSI. Symphony No. 9 with Friedrich Schillers (EIE) Ode to Joy is imo Beethoven's greatest work.
Beethoven was born more than 50 years before Wagner and his earlier works fit the classical mode, with him transitioning to romantic—one could say he was that transition, at least when it comes to keyboard.
I’ve played a lot of his keyboard repertoire and some of it is very playful, some incredibly dark and aggressive, some transcendently heartfelt and singing. There is probably no emotion he couldn’t have captured, whereas many romantic composers had high emotionality but a narrower focus.
The pieces are also very structurally sound and patterned, even ones that feel like they are an emotional storm. That could be a holdover from classical-era conventions, but it creates a great foundation for the expressiveness of the music. With many composers, the interpretation can be too emotional, but I don’t think I ever found a limit with Beethoven. However much intensity I put into it his later works, they could handle that and probably more.
EIE could work.
LSI: “I still can’t figure out Pinterest.”
Me: “It’s just, like, idea boards.”
LSI: “I don’t have ideas.”
I have been debating in my head for a while if he was an EIE and I think it could make sense, too. Beta rational type seems very likely.
Ludwig van Beethoven - ENFP - Huxley ?
IEI sx 4
I think LSI
Ni lead. But I don't really feel any Fe or the mysterious aspects that Beta NF usually have, the emotion feel serious and straight forward. So ILI maybe?

Here is a video which I found interesting for Typing purposes. It is short and synthesises the essence of his mind through his work :
I hope that no one will ever think Ne PolR after watching this. To me was EIE CD (but note that my typing skills are not sharpened !)
Lack is the Muse of all Poets
IEI's intense gaze, but I'm sure about music structure
I always assumed he was EIE.
But that could be wrong if I knew more
But yeah my gut tells me EIE.
maybe not the most reliable typing method (but it is to me lol)
he seemed intense in a serious way but maybe he was just angry at life
