Hmm OK I don't entirely relate at that point, because I'm always very aware of trying to see what goal the other person has, but I've made the mistake of assuming from some data that they had the same goal. It seemed really a no-brainer but I failed to take into account their character. And that was one of those cases where my planning in the relationship really bit my ass in the end. lol ...

If you mean you are trying to see it too but make the conclusion too fast on what their goal is, then my experience above is the same thing you are talking of, yeah.
