One could keep endlessly categorising until we reached 8 billion categories and even then we might still not have enough.
My problem with the system of subtypes is that I could never find its first principles. Only the conclusions, which didn't exactly inspire confidence. "Ne subtype is this, while Ti subtype is that." Sure, but whyyy?
Jung mentions the subtypes, it has to do with the access to the subconscious, a creative subtype provides an easier access to the other functions. the theory of subtypes works pretty much the same...
Carl Jung died before Socionics was invented. We're applying his subtypes to socionics?? If what you said is true and the system really is his, then that kind of explains why I couldn't find a basis for it.
It would still be nice to see a concise/consistent theory of Model A subtypes.
To anyone who has such a theory, I accept electronic donations of knowledge.
Socionics is based on Jung so obviously the core concepts come from him, including subtypes. If you had to research the socionics theory of subtypes "inert vs contac", you'd see those same Jungian concepts applied to Model A.
The same way people dealt with shortcomings throughout human history... learn from your mistakes, and use tools and the help of others to get you through it. Find people who can show you perspective and help you feel better about yourself and grow together with you.
PoLR info is gained through experience specifically, so I wouldn’t worry about making mistakes. Instead see it as a learning curve. No pain no gain.
You can also go to town with HA and other stronger IEs.
Nowadays I don’t suffer issues with my PoLR, I think maybe because I’m fulfilled there and with my HA. IMO the psyche is like a body builder who always skips leg day, and 1D functions are the legs he’s insecure about. But it’s insecurity about the skinny legs that cause him to get jacked and thus look amazing.
