what happend to istp? that's what i always thought he was. but then again he's pretty smiley. nicole kidman seems like either a thinker or an isfj. he's pretty private. i saw him on the actor's studio once and he was open there. not too deep in m opinion, but he had a twinkle in his eye that you don't catch in his films or in pictures.

i can't really picture esfj for tom cruise. but i don't really know what else he'd be either.

I am inclined to agree but ESFj is also plausible IMO.

I was living in the London area when he went there for the Leicester Square opening of Minority Report. I wasn't there myself, but he made a very good impression by mixing with the fans outside for two hours, even making calls from people's cellphones to their friends to say, "hi, this is Tom Cruise". If he does things like that for two hours, at this point in his career, I can see that as evidence for dominance.

ENFJs do that too. The fact of how judgemental he is, and pushes his values out there as being "right", fits ENFJ. An INFP would shrink from such a thing.

Another thing, INFPs are generally one of the best types at learning foreign languages. In the last samurai, it looked to me like he struggled with every japanese line. Japanese is phonetically quite simple but he seemed to be labouring to recall and get out the right sounds. ENFJs have pretty terrible memories for facts or learning things by rote.

Tell me about the fanaticism of Alpha Fe. Maybe...versus Beta Fe.

I know a devout Catholic ESE (somewhat reminiscent of Cruise, actually) who is rather fanatical. I see much more of a difference between Fe-dominants and Fe-creatives in their attitude towards values than between Alpha and Beta Fs - perhaps it has to do with obstinate/compliant. Fe dominants want to go out and convert people, whereas Fe creatives are mostly content to keep their values/beliefs to themselves, and just re-evaluate them in their heads or with close friends.

I know this seems weird AF, but I think he is an LSI with a crazy Se subtype which has boosted his Fe.

His Scientology obsession is a way his unbalanced Ni HA ("to believe") manifests itself.
(You may disagree, but as far as I know most celebrity Scientology enthusiasts are unhealthy Ni HA individuals.)
People with a strong Contact/Creative subtype are often oddly deficient in their Mobilizing function, to the point it can seem like Seeking.
I get the impression he'd need some person with strong Ni to make him "see" how misguided he is.

His obsession and love for doing his own stunts screams Se valuing (and subtype).
No Si valuing ESE individual would willingly and with excitement take on stunts like these.
