    Default Member Questionnaire (LemurianLo)

    Member Questionnaire 1 (LemurianLo)
What is beauty? What is love?
What is beauty? Something that really speaks to you and draws you in. What is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more (That has to be a very common response, it's just asking for it)
What are your most important values?
    Integrity and loyalty.
Do you have any sort of spiritual/religious beliefs, and why do you hold (or don't) those beliefs in the first place?
I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a Scientologist (probably the only one in the entire world interested in typology lol), convert to both with both being highly controversial of course. A long going spiritual journey to follow Christ but having to figure out which church was his led me to many churches but found my way here and related heavily to the emphasis on works and doingness both in beliefs and culture which I found inspiring. With Scientology, admittedly the controversy led me to it lol Heard all the stories and tales and was big South park fan as a child (if it wasn't porn, my parent's let me watch it lol) so of course saw 'the' episode but figured "you know what? I hear nothing but bashing and this one sided perspective, let me go in and see things from their pov, see what brings them there" and did so and ended up enjoying it far more than I ever dreamed I would, and while it is a religion, I take it more as a philosophy and of course reject anything in it that contradicts the gospel, only thing being belief in past lives really.
Opinion on war and militaries? What is power to you?
War is an unnecessary evil. If you throw down your guns and sing koombaya or however you spell it, all that's gonna happen is make you an easy target ripe for the picking, unless you have some friends with big guns willing to go to war for you and serve as a deterrent. Are there unnecessary and unjust wars? Obviously. But that does little to change the fact. Militaries are a force for defending a nation as well as projecting its power. Power is influence and the ability to project your desires externally
What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
Religion and life goals and dreams mostly, though not useless argument and debate with religion but rather sincere back and forth respectful discussion. I also talk a lot about history but that tends to end up as monologues rather than a back and forth conversation since people generally have no interest or have nothing to say.
Interested in health/medicine as a conversation topic? Are you focused on your body?
Not too often. Only as casual conversations like with the weather. I do focus on my body though with working out, obsessing over vitamins, trying to always eat healthy and get good sleep but failing miserably on both ends rather frequently.
What do you think of daily chores?
Boring but need to be done.
Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.
I read a little of everything, many books at once. Books I'm reading currently: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. Salems Lot by Stephen King. Battlefield Earth by L Ron Hubbard. Obstacles is the Way by I forgot his name. Odyssey by Homer. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. And History of Man by L Ron Hubbard. Well and the Book of Mormon which I read again and again, starting over as soon as I finish. I'd rate all these books from at least 8/10 and at best 10/10, great reads all around. I really don't watch much but have an incredibly unhealthy obsession with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure at the moment (it's ridiculous how much I love and rewatch this show). I also like stuff like Stranger Things, Marvel movies, Kung Fu Hustle, Hunter x Hunter, and Cowboy Bebop to name very few that come immediately to mind.
What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
Frustration at obstacles, physical pain, sorrow, seeing kitty cats in pain, etc. Seeing joy on some one's face when I help them out and feeling their gratitude for what I did for them makes me smiley.
Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
No where really. But closest is small group activities like when my LDS church has group volunteering in the community or attending firesides or events at the Org, attending graduations at the Org, etc.
What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
My analysis paralysis, where I get so confused by over thinking something that I just don't know how to react or fear of reacting the wrong way at the wrong moment which can cause me to be very subdued, hesitant, and just not take any action at all. Always a short but not particularly explosive temper, procrastination, indecision, and lack of short term motivation
What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
My trustworthiness, hardworking when it comes to tasks that must be performed, my loyalty, knowing I won't ever toss you under a bus or talk behind your back. My generosity towards those I consider friends or close associates, both in money and time. My sense of duty and devotion.
In what areas of your life would you like help?
My prior mentioned weaknesses, career, education, etc
Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.
Yes, very often. Again going back to previous mentioned weaknesses that tend to let me get myself into ruts that otherwise could be avoided.
What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
I like people who are friendly but aren't too loud or overly emotive. Most people I tend to dislike tend to be of the loud mouth sort. People who are too bossy, especially the micromanaging kind that follow the do as I say not as I do mantra, I heavily dislike. I like people who are always thinking of others, even in small ways that could go easily unnoticed.
How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?
It's primarily for marriage and family. I intend to wait at least a good five to six years or so before getting into a relationship, as I want to serve both my churches for a few years then maybe start a trade apprenticeship and join reserves or national guard and serve my nation too. I fully want to devote my youth to service of any kind and focus on career and family later on in late 20s. I want a girl who is loyal, has a lot of integrity, modest, funny, family oriented, sweet, kind hearted and nurturing, and preferably a fellow latter-day Saint but that's not a deal breaker by any means. I tend to find women in late 20s to mid 30s most beautiful but not hung up over physical characteristics at all, doesn't matter if 18 or 38, blonde or brunette, 4'9 or 6'2, as long as she has a heart of gold.
If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
Their moral upbringing and well being. It's extraordinarily easy to be led astray in today's society where seemingly everyone, including media, school, governments, and corporations are all promoting tje most debauched lack of ethics imaginable. Keeping them on a good path and giving them their own personal liahona would prove to be a monumental task indeed that I'm simply not educated enough to know how to implement
A friend makes a claim that clashes with your current beliefs. What is your inward and outward reaction?
Depends on how strong the belief. Minor like I believe soccer to be quite an entertaining sport but they find it dumb and boring, then I'd be mildly annoyed but wouldn't get worked up over it and make a big deal, probably ignoring it or making minor counter responses. If something more like politics or religion then I would verbally explain why I believe they're wrong while feeling irritated internally, possibly getting very heated.
Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
My relationship to secular society is not the best, especially not in the city I live. They don't like my values, I don't like theirs, but am willing to tolerate their ways far more than they ever tolerate mine. People are born good but filled with flaws and internal demons that lead them astray. Everyone's out there fighting their own battles, inward and outward. Rampant moral decay.
How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?
Generally from church. I'm quite reserve but love to smother with small gifts and other means of indirect affection
How do you behave around strangers?
Standoffish and cold but very formal. Not necessarily polite but most certainly not rude.

I think you've typed yourself correctly just going off this small amount.

SLI seems ok to me. Pics or vid for VI would be nice (Sol is going to ask you anyway). I'd say SLI but I'd like VI material just to be sure. If you don't want to post them I understand, being myself not very fan of posting such material. You remind me of ISTPs from reddit also previous forum members posters self identified as SLI. Then, I could have easily wrote pretty similar stuff. I also think you are being very honest and spontaneous in your responses which is nice.

I'm very lazy now, but I could do some point by point socionics identification of elements in your text along with some gratuitous "me too!" annotation since I've a lot of similarities with what you wrote for real (I don't share your same beliefs ofc, I'm christian, but I don't think religion is type related). I see a prevalence of Fi HA (morals and else) what others could name as Fi Lead but I don't see that as must. Unvalued aggression, caregiver (Si) traits, Ni Role, Ne Suggestive, Fe PoLR, etc.

I also suggest not taking ppls opinions from others on your type in here too seriously. I trust tests more.

Hmm, I could pm pics to you or anyone who'd need them if necessary but otherwise wouldn't like to have my photo public. Yeah those points you bring up make a lot of sense. I really can't see myself as a beta type at all and most likely not a alpha either. Main doubts with SLI are related to the Te function which I can find hard at times to notice in myself but SLI still fits better than other typings for me which is why I self type as it. But yeah, thanks for your time and analysis!

Type isn't a static thing, you could have a more equal amount of Te-Fi than other SLIs. As the deer suggested, some people might think Fi base for you, and I will say that I had been thinking of it as a possibility while reading through. But SLI is a good typing.

Also, picture VI won't accomplish anything. Videos are slightly more useful for mannerisms and more information that you give about yourself, but VI is never going to be a consistent measure by itself.
