Fortunately, there are ILEs.

I disagree. I have over 20 yrs of experience with SEI and have 170 IQ. A lot of good your arrogance does you.
SEIs tend to more guarded than impulsive although they can sometimes be blind to consequence. However, I've witnessed a lot more impulsiveness in Ep-types, which seems to be a major catalyst for their inventiveness.....

Exactly, Ep, from alpha, ESE can be little bit impulsive too. What I see in Alpha SF however is their lack of Te. They don't know how to use money wisely or how to run a business, or why you can't waste a lot of money (even if you have it) in beautiful but unnecesary stuff.

I have not seen lots of SEI's like that.
Some get so attached to something everything else is going to lose its meaning. Ne suggestive and new shiny thing.
SEI's might have money problems. I tend not to waste it because buying stuff is so exhausting and troublesome. They are amazed of my magnificent money handling skills (=I do not really care about having stuff).

you guys are all talking about impulsiveness. That's not what I'm talking about.

I agree with everyone who says that this is closer to SEE/SLE. It also broadly applies, to a lesser extent, to the other EP temperament types, who might dive into things and "muddle" their way through them (because of Ni-ignoring), while attempting to handle unexpected situations as they encounter them. Their Ni is strong enough to give them a broad, but lower resolution image of possible long-term consequences, which is why they're a little more restrained than Se-leading types.
My relationship with an ILE right now is ultra-functional I’d say. I would say this is more or less true. ILEs aren’t necessarily the best at getting concrete things done either, mind you, but at least they are willing to think about those steps for someone they care about helping without getting frustrated, whereas I could see the SEIs I’ve interacted with becoming flustered about the technical process or figuring-out process more easily and are willing to go along with whatever plan someone else comes up with when it comes to that part of getting things done. I can imagine an SEI just feeding coffee and snacks endlessly to an ILE working steadily on a draft for something.
