i decided to post this in the politics forum, since LGBTQIA things are extremely politicized.

i have a cousin who had a crush on leonardo dicaprio when she was a kid and then she had a biological kid and wanted to get married to the father but he wouldn't commit and then within a 13 years later she started dating, fell in love with a woman (around the time people started becoming gay) and she's been in love with her ever since then. she admits to being homosexual, so there's sexuality in the relationship, so you can change your sexuality. close to half of americans now say they're born that way, but the ones who say that are wrong.

she's almost never followed social norms (maybe she intended to always go against them) and never felt bad about it, so that's more evidence that she didn't just keep it hidden for her own image.

i read someone became bisexual from straight after brain damage. other story i know is demon said he came into a person to make him gay when he was in the womb and heard parents said they wanted a girl, he became str8 after exorcism or gay no more allegedly idk if its true.

otherwise idk how u cant realize just bc she wanted to marry him as a kid it was related to sexuality, maybe she was never straight, and then maybe u dont realize she's bi or demi or whatever processes are going on. maybe she jsut didnt know she was bi as a kid, and just figured out later, assuming its more set, other than that maybe ppl are maleable in some ways, and ppl are individually different, idk if environment can make u stuck more one way bc of how u are too, or if you\d really be the same regardless of environment. i attempted to watch gay porn to turn myself gay out of spite. for years it didnt work just boring. i never felt like i needed to prove hard im not gay, ppl were wondering if i was bc of things about me they may associate with gayness. reason i didnt do some things considered gay (that were actually str8 bc the ppl calling them gay were repressed homo and bisexuals themselves) that may have been considered gay otherwise was bc i thought i risked getting physically assaulted for them. one thing was wearing a tank top, and the reason i wanted to wear it was actually bc of muscle tension, strain, mobility and nerve issues around my neck shoudlers hands or smth cuz i wanted to see if it would make it easier for me

Sexual attraction is mostly instinctual. Trauma from the opposite sex can also contribute, pornography, social conditioning(not as common as people make it), etc.

Sexuality is complicated with a mix of both innate and envrionmentally-driven factors. I felt attraction to men ever since I was 5, I would get funny feeling seeing hot dudes in the shower in movies but was too young to know what it was. But I also was molested by a woman and that might have also turned me off of women entirely but idk.

Also I was bullied a lot by male peers, and some ppl theorize I was gay because its a craving to reconnect the 'bro damage' that those male relationship costs. ((Personally, I think it's bogus quackery)) Cuz that doesn't explain the jockish more masculine gay men that were always popular and pretty and accepted how they are gay too.... primarily I still think it's genetic. But not JUST ONE gene can determine something as complicated as sexual orientation. I don't think it can be that simple.
