No but I think it would help to let some people get away from Socionics, because I believe it's mostly a waste of time (hint: like this thread). Yeah I realize the irony of it, but I've only discovered that recently as well.
I described LSE as knowing a good thing when they see it. I would say that gleaning useful information and processes from others is a shared ability (not attributable to Te by itself but rather the shared configuration) but their perspectives are very different; LIEs tend to have top-down views while LSEs are bottom-up. Qualities are more relativistic while LSEs deal in absolutes; however, by the word "quality", I'm not referring to the best toaster on the market because both types will likely be aware of that. Anyway, I have trouble with many of the English translations in Socionics; I wonder if the original author meant what is written.

What's ironic is that just a few weeks ago I posted on the random thoughts thread precisely about this pattern: first self-types as Logical type (usually Te Ego), then progressively the Ethical nature becomes self-evident and irrefutable, and then...this. Why does anyone need to defend anything? How can a person ever prove they are a certain type or another? Why would they even want to? Other people's opinions don't change your cognition. It's not a majority vote, it's just what you are, or aren't.

I think we are pretty different in behavior and probably upbringing / environment but our thinking processes seem similar.

that is exactly what I'd expect the dual of ESI to say based off the dreams and fears of the ESIs I know. its like he's speaking exactly the the stuff they often verbalize to me in question format, "I know I'm destined for more" looking for how to get the plan, to work, to travel, live their dreams, but in a way that is not fantastical by IEI standards, grounded in action and willingness to sweat, etc etc. in other words, its oriented at a dreamy, hardworking yet fearful nature, not dreamy optimistic and lazy
