@wasp I feel like you're answering questions I didn't ask, but I reread my post and I see where it got confusing. I'm not implying that summer = tan or winter = pale. I'm saying that my skin tone varies greatly depending on the season (independent from the seasonal tones mentioned in the theory) so it's hard to place myself anywhere because I could see myself in several tones. I'm not yet knowledgeable enough in the theory to know how to distinguish between different shades of olive skin and how they correspond with various color palettes.

what I'm curious about is how my color preferences (black and white, earth tones, and colors associated with Hollister, such as maroon) match up with the theory + the tidbit about detesting "loud" colors, which may or may not be related to color palette theory, hopefully that clarifies things
