An example outfit I might wear. It seems to look alright on me
In seasonal color analysis, I’m most likely an Autumn of some sort. I have the flecks in my eyes and have slightly warm skin, despite how pasty I am. As for body type, I’m most likely a Soft Dramatic. I’m over 5’8 so I can only be Soft Dramatic, Flamboyant Natural, or Dramatic. Honestly I’m not entirely sure which one, I could see arguments for any of them. I mainly rule out Dramatic or Flamboyant Natural since I certainly don’t have a “boyish” figure, but eh. If I could consult Kibbe I would, but as far as I know he doesn’t do online consultations. In Kitchener I’m probably Romantic, or at least that’s what I’ve been told.
If you’re not talking about any of those style types, then disregard everything I said
Socionics is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have, but I have it.
These are the colors that tend to actually give me the most compliments:
^Those are from photos of mine. I used color picker to get exact colors of my clothes.
Their comments would be like "That color looks really good on you"/"You always look so good in that color".
The ones on top are the top 3 where at least one person would notice the color, specially the bright pink one. Some would say they never wear colors like this but it's surprising that I can pull it off. For shoes, brown > black is an automatic for me. For nails, that kind of red or something dark. I'm younger, and sometimes people are more used to lighter pinks but the manicurist would also say "This shade (lighter) is okay but that shade (something similar to the colors above) it would be good on you because you are white/have lighter skin". I guess they just don't have the proper word for it. It also doesn't matter how I would use these colors for style too, like I would wear a hat that is that color of bright pink or a jacket and the reaction would be the same so I know it's because of the color, because sometimes you get compliments but because of the styling, or the design of the shirt or something else but for these ones it could be the plainest shirt and if you would get complimented it would be because of the color.
Interesting though because they're my favorite colors too lol. Though I also like black and olives. I don't think I look that good in black, it makes me look sad and dull. I think if it's black, I have to offset it with something really bright.

I love it so much when I wear long shirts with fitted pants that wouldn't be too noticeable or a dress with no defined waistline and just have noticeable jewelry. Idk but I think it fits my vibe/personality. I also don't think I look good in ruffles. I wore a long princessy dress and honestly I think it's meh. Meanwhile the oversized shirt with newspaper patterns I have worn made my mother ask where I bought it.
Pink seems to suit me for some strange reason (my favorite color since I was young is blue)
medium shade I think, either cool or warm but cool ofc looks better
and it looks better than red
makeup clothes etc
I have wondered if it might be something about my coloring but also sort of that intangible physical ‘essence’
I have noticed Kibbe's conception of Romantic for example might be very diff from the essence conceptualization of Romantic, and I may potentiallu not even have R as one of my dominant essences
I can easily see N, relaxed, casual, chill or easygoing with a bit of that 'analytical' yang energy perhaps (enneagram 5 influence?). I also like comfortable pieces, I am unlikely to wear things that aren't. COmfort doesn't mean it can't be body hugging or cute, it is just how relaxed and confident I feel in the clothes. I also notice appearance traits, esp in the face that might line up with Natural. The only thing I am not sure quite fits is "strong/athletic looking"
But also soft and shy, the kibbe 'dreamspinner' energy, I suspect it is there too.
also possibly some quirkiness or energy, I can see where the Gamine comes in
ingenue and ethereal may be more influenced by my inner stuff and personality, altho ingenue I do somewhat relate to like "sweet" or not as mature yin like a Romantic but still yin energy influence
like maybe I have a diverse array of essences I might need to lean more eclectic lol, idk
this is all so cerebral right now, only trying things out will clarify further. But most pieces you find in stores are very simple I feel like
Idk about my body type, I look at it and think normal and anything I wear is normal. Honestly I just think I would benefit more from really big and bouncy boobs because that would be super hot no matter what clothes you wear
Here I had chatGPT create a dress for a Kibbe Romantic with Romantic-Natural-Gamine essences and its not bad
ofc I would have to actually try it on and see waht it looks like on me
Not for normal men. Obstacles to be perceived as more attractive may be in your emotions general and to men. If you'll want change that - it's where to start.
As example. I remember a girl. She seems had depressive state. She got psyche course and that improved emotions, made her more friendly, smily and open in behavior to people. My pal knew her before and after. In "after" he got feelings to her. I was surprised and he said that she has changed. It was mainly emotions + clothes/cosmetics closer to common. The change happened during ~1 year. Were noticed traits of behavior therapy.
I think I might be Classic-Dramatic-Ingenue. I found this board on Pinterest for that combination of essences and it really seems to match up with me, I think https://pin.it/7AA4iee
I actually have one of the bathing suits on this board and it’s my favorite swimming suit ever. It just feels like it ‘suits’ me for some reason. Maybe it’s because it matches up with my essences! (It’s this https://pin.it/Kg0E7LP but I have it in a deep purple color)
I often relate (on a subconscious, personal preference level) to John Kitchener's ingenue
going through some of his traits of ingenue-
- body is short or petite (yes. short, maybe not "petite" as I am more like full hourglass/pear or whatever)
- face shape round or heart (maybe; soft square, somewhat round)
- wide set apart eyes and green in color (no)
- bowed lips shape (very much so)
- often idealistic sweet and naive (cna see that)
- colors are floral looking, pastel, and can appear delicate (I could jibe with that)
- gentle innocence, embracing the inner child (possible)
as for his examples of clothing elements, they could worked if mixed up with other essences
- love of past, embrace vintage clothing(oh I love vintage clothing)
okay quite a bit of the clothing stuff seems to check out imo, but like I said I would need other essences I feel like, mixed in with the ingenue instead of pure or predominant ingenue maybe, idk

----
his Romantic
- fleshy, voluptuous, curvy (ok)
- average height (below average)
- dark or full hair (yes)
- large alluring eyes (no)
- sensuous full lips (sure_
- eyes dark smoldering mysterious (im not sure? maybe not)
- skin unusually smooth and luminous (maybe lol, have been told I habve soft skin)
- wear tactile refined luxurious textures (I don't butI could try it)
- flowing draped or clingy garments (as long as its also comfortable, I don't mind wear them)
- preference for darker looks (idk, bright colors I have realized tend to overwhelmed me; I prefer muted colors) (okay so, for colors, I took a picture of myself draping different colors and patterns, and this is what i found: soft almost diaphanous pattern/texture might suit me it brings a glow to me I think, dark colors are not bad but not great either, medium is better. muted almost 'shimmering' colors look good, bright colors look bad lol, velvety Kitchener Romantic deep color/floral pattern does not look bad but something is missing, yellows and oranges are not terrible but they don't do what some of the other colors do, pink suits me even if it is not quite teh 'color' for me)
- larger floral prints rounded eaccessories (idk I think most patterns I have worn are not large? but I have not paid attention. However, I like and gravitate to florals. rounded accessories might be ok)

I’ve seen people try on looks for every type & take pictures to see how it looks. Maybe you could try styles from each essence on and see how they look. Maybe it would help, idk. I’ve thought of trying it myself, but I want to lose weight first. Something interesting to do I thought I’d mention.
some musings
princesscore - romantic + ingenue + classic
fairycore - ethereal + natural + romantic + ingenue?
cottagecore - romantic + ingenue + natural?

so I got some feedback irl and basically just used keywords -
"bold, intimidating" (no)
"playful, spritelike" (no)
casual, approachable, sportive (no)
elegant, formal, aristocratic (somewhat)
skipped Romantic bc I think I prob have it
"sweet, ingenue-ish" (maybe)
"otherworldly, ethereal, like I could play a mermaid" (I don't know)
sooooo
it looks like this is pointing to Romantic-Classic-Ingenue (with potential additional or smaller essence contributions which I personally suspect, from the rest of them, except for maybe dramatic). I think I also got typed as Romantic-Classic-Ingenue online once but most were overwhelmingly Natural or Gamine and maybe that I gravitate to N styles might have complicated that? Because apparently I don't have the N essence, it was immediately shot down when I got this recent feedback from a family member. Anyways, comfort is incredibly important to me so I might still use that essence to some degree.
And then ... Gamine? idk, I feel like maybe I can handle some playful details? Or maybe I just like them.
Edit: Yes, I think I may have some Gamine touches. RCI itself is okay but something is missing.
I mean something like this (I think it is more of an abstract aesthetic representation but gives some sort of ... guidance still) speaks to me a bit more I think than the extreme (but pretty) princesscore vibes here

I’ve completely given up on Kibbe. I think Kitchener is where it’s at. I can see essences play out in people, but with Kibbe, it just seems…too robotic and soulless?
Kibbe has been commenting on people's posts on fb to help them with their sketches and whatnot. I think his process is more elaborate than it appears to be at first glance and maybe not all of it is in his books (feeling type? Lol). I agree that the essences aspect is interesting. Maybe he'll integrate it at some point
Fwiw David zyla assigns personality traits to types. he is mostly into seasonal color analysis but gives guidelines on what silhouettes to avoid etc.
Chatgtp tells me it cannot create images. How did you do it ????

That's pretty cool. I was hoping for a non-dress outfit but nice to see that too. I wonder whether it applied spring as a season instead of a color category. The colors seem closer to soft autumn but it probably chose the milder spring shades to honor the ethereal aspect U.U
David Kibbe's "Dreamspinner" (Romantic) is such a blend (at least as much I acan apprximate) of Kitchener's ethereal and romantic. I have been thinking both of them interchangeably and I feel like I need to erase the Kibbe 'programming' to be able to see Kitchener/style essences more objectively lol
His Romantic is deep, dense "rich" yin. Well I think I might have some of that too, but softened (so some sort of ethereal, or ingenue influence)
I have also been trying to describe my vibe to myself and I can't believe I missed Classic lol. I have been writing "serious, almost academia-ish vibe" (with yin influence like from Romantic) and it makes so much sense for classic, the elegant, refined, aristocratic vibe
I have been so confused and it was right in front of me lol
I really don't know if I have top three essences or top essences in a meaningful way since it seems I might borrow from several. As such, I am not sure how I would practically test this out since most pure essences kind of make me feel like they need to be moderated somehow I think (well intuitively, I haven't tried it out yet) but also, it is difficult to find clothing that has ethereal or gamine essence influence for example (with Romantic essence undercurrent).
The only thing I hate about being a soft dramatic is how I can’t wear comfy and “relaxed” clothing without looking so matronly and lazy.
Also I’m probably a deep or true autumn, but that’s not going to stop me from wearing so much black.
Though I had all this stuff figured out before discovering Kibbe, essences, and seasonal color analysis.
I guess that in my eyes, I see all these systems as overcomplicating fashion. But I will admit that it’s cool to know where I fit in systems like this, especially with the personality traits that are usually assigned to types in those systems.
Socionics is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have, but I have it.
I miiiiiiight be a classic second in kitcheners system, I tend to gravitate to cleaner or polished pretty designs (in clothing and jewelry). Prooooobably Romantic first. I did this thing where I pulled up pictures of clothing jewelry etc. next to a pic of my face which I thought reasonably accurately represented my irl appearance (cameras distort appearance a lot too) and those are designs I gravitated most to. Seemed like ‘polished mature yin’ (romantic and classic) might jibe best with my appearance, and secondarily the young/innocent/playful/whimsical touches from the ingenue and gamine. I did not like the excessively ingenuish designs next to my face, or sort of cheaper material like a children’s beaded jewelry next to my face either even though it’s playful. I felt a need to simplify somewhat excessively ornate designs but all in all probably Romantic first so I still like them but yeah. Something like this seemed better than say something like this or like this. I personally tended to gravitate to ethereal essence in the texture and coloring not the overall silhouette but it’s possible it might be because I am a soft/blended coloring. Soft summer might be the closest approximation in the regular color system

I found this dress on Pinterest I really like. I’d wear it if I had somewhere to wear it to. I guess I could make a reason lol. But I think it really matches up with my essences, too.
yeah I’ve slowly been moving towards just wearing all black everyday for the last couple of years. I was just thinking, I’m only buying black clothes from now on. Black is the best color! Even if it ‘supposedly’ isn’t my color! lol
same here. I felt like I got a lot of this stuff already without having a name for it. But it’s fun!Though I had all this stuff figured out before discovering Kibbe, essences, and seasonal color analysis.

Kibbe's dreamspinner is probably the closest I have read something come to describing my physical "essence"
it's not 100% or perfect as there might be more going on but I find his ideas more practically helpful and less nebulous (than say Kitchener's essences). I don't think I have ever seen myself objectively to be completely honest and coming across Kibbe sort of surprised me.
watching myself on video - overwhelming classic influence vibes, also aligns with 4w5
also natural, but I kind of just look depressed with that essence influence on me (?)
but I get it, I don't tend to do make-up or go for a very polished or high maintenance look so natural will peek through. It's something that is organic or comfortable to me I guess. But also, I mean I have been told I have a calming influence, and I do look relaxed or casual etc. so I may have that essence. I also have asymmetrical features, soft square face and so on. https://ourfashiongarden.com/the-nat...omplete-guide/
Naturals don't look depressed in their element tho, the opposite
Ingenue is relatively hidden, Romantic less hidden.
