@Medusa: Thanks! That's fantastic. I'm an LII Tritype 51x. I think it fits perfectly.

KEEP IT LIGHT AND KEEP IT MOVING
Got Ravenclaw lol hopefully that's a good thing

Oh, 3-wing sass huh. A self-aware performance-inclined 2 is quite an interesting person.
Yep - SO/SX pretty much sums up the house spirit.
Yeah I always thought Gryff + Ravenclaw and Huff+Slytherin is the real deal. Although it's hard to see how Hufflepuff can tolerate a Slytherin for long, I have myself a Ravenclaw to back up my drive for snake domination with facts ya know Dunno if there's an overall trend honestly. And as you said, secondary houses matter. What is a typical friendship alliance? (Beside #Chusa, we already know that one)
I would say ostrichclaw but N/A. I take ravenclaw.

Socionics are the most Ravenclaw thing ever so it's not unexpected that this is the majority here How many people in each Gryffindor and Slytherin are we, 5, 6? Hufflepuff is almost empty!
@sorrows probably is a Hufflepuff though, help out the badgers! <3
Yeah, it seems like most people on this forum are Slytherin and Ravenclaw.
Both Gryffindor and Hufflepuff are not too common. Hufflepuff is the most rare.
Which is a shame, more Hufflepuffs would probably make this forum a brighter, more harmonious place. ^-^'
Addendum: count @Shaebette in I think, unless it's Ravenclaw for her.

slytherin
Hufflepuff.
When I told my high school guitar student my potter house, she laughed. I asked her if it was because she views Hufflepuff as lame or nerdy or something. She said, "that would be a nice way to say it."
I read the values of Hufflepuff though. Cool or uncool, I stand by them.
Also: my Patronus is a St Bernard.

According to some sites, Hufflepuff does well with all Houses, but especially with Gryffindor for some reason? And Slytherin is supposedly best with another Slytherin. But dunno.
Here is a cute description of Gryffindor + Slytherin friendship:
I am pretty sure that I've had a couple of Slytherin friends, they were usually ESIs. And I had some Hufflepuff and Gryffindor friends. Cannot recall having been closer friends with any Ravenclaw (irl).• Gryffindor hung over b/c too much fire whiskey, Slytherin friend tolerance running low like kay get up now kid stop being a wimp
• Gryffindor trying to get Slytherin to sign up for all the same classes, Slytherin acting hesitant but really likes the idea and ends up doing it
• Slytherin always seems to have all the guys and the one night stands while the Gryffindor friend is constantly trying to get the Slytherin to find “the one”
• Slytherin dressing Gryffindor up, teaching them about makeup and getting all proud at the Gryffindor’s progress
• Slytherin and Gryffindor laying around making flower crowns and gossiping all day on sunny Saturdays, avoiding everyone else and occasionally napping
• Gryffindor trying to get the Slytherin to join in snowball fight, Slytherin outright refusing and watching from the sidelines, ready with hot chocolate when the Gryffindor comes back in
• Slytherin getting praised in class and the Gryffindor wolf whistling at them from across the room, waggling eyebrows and winking at their embarrassed and exasperated friend
• Gryffindor losing someone in the family, finding out when with the Slytherin and the Slytherin just sits with them till they know it’ll be alright to speak
• Slytherin being manipulative to mutual friend and Gryffindor looking on in disapproval…and grudging respect at the skill
• Gryffindor and Slytherin using their looks to charm their way to favors and free stuff, seeing it as a little game and challenge they share
• Both curled up together on couch having real talk about future careers, giving real advice and talking about how they want to make a difference
• Going away on holiday together to southern France with Slytherin’s family, getting into endless trouble and bringing back stories of great adventures
• Gryffindor as best lady/man at Slytherin’s wedding, ugly crying with Slytherin’s dad as they couple says their vows, making the Slytherin roll their eyes and smile
• Life-long friends; while they are different the Slytherin puts up with the Gryffindor’s endless shenanigans and the Gryffindor looks to the Slytherin for stability and someone who they can always talk to about anything
Ravenclaw. Eccentric individualists, seems accurate enough. I've never read or watched Harry Potter.
Slytherin to the rescue to clean up this mess. I can understand why people are biased toward my house but Hufflepuff? Those antis better step their game up.
Reasons why Hufflepuff is Awesome:
I. The characters & celebrities in it.
- Cedric Diggory
- Newt Scamander
- Nymphadora Tonks
- Logan Lerman
- Meryl Streep
- Helen Mirren
- Josh Hutcherson
- Sigourney Weaver
- Britney Spears
- Lady Gaga
- Tom Hanks
- Leo Dicaprio!! (might also be Gryffindor esp in his earlier days)
- Halle Berry
- Tom Hiddleston for sure
- Selena Gomez
- Paul Rudd
- Bob Marley
- Jennifer Anniston
- CHRIS PRATT I REPEAT CHRIS PRATT
- Dwayne The Rock Johnson!!
- Jennifer Lawrence
- Chris Hemsworth
- Justin Timberlake
II. Values and characteristics, as you said.
III.
Well, which House would you rather be in? Which characters do you relate to better? Etc.
It looks like a lot of people struggle to decide between two Houses. It is a common theme, even with the characters themselves.
If you struggle between two Houses, go with the one you'd rather be, the one that meets your Heart's desires more, etc.
So but, stereotypically and all that, Hufflepuff is alpha, Gryffindor is beta, Slytherin is gamma and Ravenclaw is delta. How about that?
@Tigerfadder I had it as Hufflepuff - Delta, Ravenclaw - Alpha, Gryffindor - Gamma, and Slytherin - Beta using Aristocratic/Democratic dichotomies since those descriptions are kind of really, really important regarding the houses, but the correlation seems pretty moderate based on the people who actually get in them.
Stereotypically, these types tend to fit the best...
Gryffindor: Beta, ExFx, ExTp
Hufflepuff: Alpha SF
Ravenclaw: LII, EII-Ne
Slytherin: Gamma, Delta (contraflow)
But again, those aren't "rules".
For instance, there are even people of opposite Quadras in the same House.
Someone said HuffSly friendship?
Joking aside, I mostly end up befriending Ravenclaws and Slytherins, it seems. I can rarely recall a Gryffindor friend. With Slytherins, I am going to assume they don't see the Huffle as a threat and someone who would try to drag them down, while also Slytherins are pretty loyal to people they actually do let in their circles, which likely makes up for it in the Huffle's eyes?
@Medusa, yeah. I've posted this in chatbox before, but this is how I see it:
Gryffindor - Democratic, decisive
Slytherin - Aristocratic, decisive
Ravenclaw - Democratic, judicious
Hufflepuff - Aristocratic, judicious
It mostly just matters on which values are the most prominent. They don't seem to correlate the way socionics wants here.
