yeah you're naive as fuck if you didn't think this was happening and will continue to happen in some way shape or form, forever

it always blew my mind when snowden came out with his leaks and people were surprised. like, after spending time in the army, the government is not playing to lose and there's a lot of competition out there. this stuff has been around forever and the only realistic safety measures are to get the best people we can behind these methods, because even if we succeeded in eliminating their use it would just fall to the bad guys to use and develop. in other words, spying, surveilence, hacking, etc is a limitless arms race the only real solution for is Fi/Te at the appropriate levels--no wonder betas fear it because that's precisely what they don't possess--their pie in the sky Ti solution is just to eliminate it all, but such a thing is an impossibility

I mean, really, no one cares about your gay porn collection. we already know betas are sexual deviants anyway--it doesn't take spyware for that

"There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land."
    -- HUD Secretary Ben Carson

    Your Daily Trump:

Trump finally acts on Affordable Care Act, and betrays his constituents.

Hi @squark. I know some SEE and SLE very well and typing Trump as SEE bugs me. So here are my 2cts

Its not about not seeing any introverted thinking. It's that you don't see any quality thinking or reasoning.
Overestimating and bragging with one's mental capacity and ability to deal with people while simultaneously being painfully oblivious about the image they are making are traits of unhealthy ESTp.

I'll talk mainly about unhealthy SEE and SLE .

I can see how you identify his behavior, his frequent changes of plan, big but empty promises as Ti-Porl however unlike ESTp, unhealthy ESFp are easier to spot by their need for moral superiority. They will drop a ton of emotions and accusations of amorality and inhumanity on your head but won't be able to accurately define what they see as wrongdoing. They want to be seen as fair and noteworthy leaders of the people but not as business men.

SEE are aware that logical reasoning is not their strongest weapon while SLE advertise it as one of their strengths ("I have a very good brain").
Trump uses Fi as absolutely last resort and fails at it ( Claims to empathize with groups of people). The only level of communication he knows is business, where roles are clearly defined (aristocracy) superior positions are achieved through cleverness and the ability to make the best deals.

SEE-leaders earn their admiration trough ethical manipulation and displays of favor

I think the easiest way to identify a person as SEE or SLE is that SEE smile often with their mouth but not so with their eyes. Their eyes are carefully watching the other person and register emotional reactions to make sure that their manipulations work. SEE make good first impressions and will give the person much attention to achieve this.
As soon as they have your goodwill they will move on to charm the next one. When they can't win someone over SEE will take it personally.

SLE, on the other hand, smile less often but more sincerely in the sense that they have little knowledge on how to manipulate a person on an emotional level. They rely on their negotiation skills and can trap a person into a long conversation. They don't see the other person's discomfort and may even misinterpret it as submission.
Because they are negativists they don't trust people easily and will accuse people of treachery in odd situations.
Thinking that they are the smartest and have to stay the smartest (on top of the hierarchical structure) comes from very low introverted intuition and mistrust (Fi Porl, "Don’t Hire People Who Are Smarter Than You").

SLE overestimate their skills and/or underestimate the work and resources that are needed. When it turns out they can't do something (that happens very late in the process ) ,they will blame the circumstances or unfair behavior and sabotage by other parties.
"Nobody knew health care could be so complicated!"
    "My mic was 'defective!'"

SEE will see earlier that they don't have the ability to do something. Then they blame anyone but themselves with strong emotional displays and fingerprinting. They will find someone who is responsible and attack him publicly to save face.
From my experience it goes like this: "Why are we even in a relationship? I hate you! You should have known. Its all your fault! "

About Trump's Tweets: In a way this could be ethical manipulation but both types need reassurance from other people and much attention. Ultimately I see Trumps interest in social problems as Beta values and not as introverted feeling.

    Edit:
The Donald Trump typing thread found some striking similarities in behavior between Elvis and young Donald Trump. I think visual identification is in many cases more accurate than any interpretation that is based words and reactions only. Not to forget that Trump is, to put it mildly, a very unstable person. So take what I wrote above with a grain of salt.

So 1 Trillion Dollars plus 742 Years construction time not including the payment for the workers and engineers

    I have a better idea
    Mexican-American Border is 3144 km (1934,95 miles)
so we'll hire 3 144 000 Republicans that align along the border and take care of exactly 1m each.
We'll be nice and give them a minimum wage of 10$/h like Trump indicated*
    For 4 years + 1 day (leapyear)

    24h * 10$ *3.144.000 People * ((365*4)+1) = 1.10241216 × 10^12 $ = 1 trillion 102 billion 412 million 160 thousand Dollars

Verdict: cheaper, better, faster and 3 million new jobs

    The promise:

"I am going to take care of everybody...much better than they're being taken care of now...The government's going to pay for it...People are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition, with lots of companies, with great companies. And they can have their doctors, they can have their plans, they can have everything."

Trump on health care, during the campaign

    The pay-off:

24 million fewer people able to afford health care. $337 billion over ten years in tax cuts for the richest 2%.

Who could have known it would turn out like this?

    I mean, really? Who?

I wouldn't put too much stock in anything coming from the MSM, double that statement for hard left publications like Salon or Vox. The current liberal media strategy is gaslighting the public that still tunes into them (which is dwindling by the day given how obvious said attempts at gaslighting are). We're at a point were we literally have to wait and see what happens after the proposed measures have become law and/or any given move by the administration is "officially" done before we can even begin to understand what's happening in any factual sense.

Remember everyone, *everything* you see, hear, and read in the media is propaganda (yes, even those moves, novels, comics, and TV shows y'all like so much). Everyone is trying to get you to believe in a certain narrative, the narrative that advances their interests at the likely cost of your own. Study how it works, that way you won't fall for it. Even those on your own "side" can be aiming to screw you over when push comes to shove (e.g. Stalin's Purges, Operation Hummingbird, etc). History is replete with the corpses of Quislings and Useful Idiots who "outlived their usefulness" if ya catch my meaning. Put in the work to ensure you don't end up among their number.

This whole thing is beyond Trump's control, anyway. So the genuine Trump supporters are probably in it for a disappointment. Those who are against Trump may glee at his "failures", but it's not going to be benefiting anyone. Even if there's going to be some liberal President who comes after this, things will likely be the same (like sure, they will be in it for some liberal causes here and there, but economically most of them are the same). The President is no longer in control, or he/she is a mere figurehead. I would expect years, if not decades of rotating of the same "weak" and "ineffectual" Presidents who seem to be able to change nothing, or they are the same as before, and more and more people grow either tired, angered or apathetic at the country's inability to change anything for the better... unless people really rise up for a true political revolution. That seems like the only road to salvation...

@Singularity, the way to rise up is to vote, call your representatives to let them know your positions, and to work towards their replacement (the only thing they fear) if their votes don't reflect your wishes.

yeah I know I voted for Trump because I knew whatever was gonna happen was gonna happen anyway and obamacare was going to be repealed so it really doesn't matter who get's voted for which is why I vote for bad candidates because if you really think about it there are no bad candidates because whoever gets elected was going to get elected anyway and blaming Trump or the people who voted for him for any seemingly negative consequences is all so unenlightened.. it would presuppose that people can think for themselves, and I know, at least in my case, I can't, so why would I expect anyone else to? really all of politics is like a prescripted TV show I just watch for entertainment because the idea that anything real is at stake or that democracy actually means anything is psychologically unconvincing to me... at best it functions as a way for me to interact with and express myself to others, but that's all it is--facebook trolling for attention, really. I mean really, does Washington even exist? If someone I love dies for lack of medical resources available to them, I'll just lighten the mood in their deathbed room with some good Fe jokes, and that pretty much solves the problem. seriously, why do people need to blame Trump it doesn't even make any sense

Depends on how deep and hardcore ya wanna go. I am a right winger so I naturally get my news from right wing sites and "alternative" media. I try to read far left wing sites every now and then for perspective as well, but they've gotten so hysterical and odious post-election that it takes serious mental effort to do so (SO many logical fallacies and BS man, it hurts my brain). Basic bitch tier starts with sites like lewrockwell.com (blog and political theater section, not article section though I do read a few every now and then), unz.com, Drudge Report, and Zerohedge (comment section on the articles there tends towards far right territory so only scroll down there if you're comfortable with (((echoes))) and the like).

There's a ton of political content on youtube as well and I do watch some of it every day as things pop up that catch my interest. I usually check to see if people like Stefan Molyneux and Styxhexenhammer666 have new vids every afternoon. There are other people I like, but they aren't as prolific in their daily content generation so I only check them every now and again. I meander the web, news and facts come to me almost exactly when needed and/or desired. Never hurts to do the equivalent of a "wiki walk" regarding current events every so often.

I also lurk controversial twitter feeds and blogs. Alt-Right figures and sites like RAMZPAUL, Red Ice, and VDARE do bring up news the MSM will never bring up due to narrative conflicts. As I said, everyone is selling a narrative and nobody in the MSM will give a platform to any personality or mention information that threatens to contradict it. Hotep twitter is also good fun if only to observe the hardcore narrative conflict they'd generate if they ever got mainstream attention (which is why they'll never get any).

Of course, I'd never listen to anybody or any source without a decent base in political and philosophical history as well as an understanding of human nature and how propaganda works. Again, narratives, everyone's pushing their own and if you don't know things like history and critical thinking you *will* get bamboozled into being someone's willing ideological pawn. End of the day, all media is propaganda whether it is alternative or mainstream. Once you understand that you'll have a better grasp on reality. Trust, but verify *everything* you see and hear. The MSM never lets the facts get in the way of pushing their narrative, but at least the alternative/right wing media is up front with their agenda. The honesty is quite refreshing .

no offense but your entire analysis is one big false equivalence which I find characteristic of Fe valuers when trying to engage in Te style political discourse. I find it really hard to believe an ILI could write any of that

the problem is the media does two things: present facts, and offer analysis. classic journalism has made a value out of impartiality as best it can, which are just so called "liberal values" (which I hesitate to even use because the original meaning, as I use it here, has practically been lost, by a protracted anti intellectual smear campaign), or political correctness, whatever you want to call it. its "the liberal media".. which by trying not to stand for something ends up standing for something.. or at least it does in the eyes of the beta quadra who has to make something out of it in order to oppose it and create motion. enter the alt right: which is essentially "conservatism"-as-rebellion, which gives it its weird character as simultaneously presenting itself as punk and tradition.

the problem is, inasmuch as classical journalism only values neutral analysis, or at least tries to; in order to oppose it, the alt right is forced to posit its own contrary values--which is why it is so unashamedly ideological (think of its roots in AM radio). it justifies this turn to itself by saying "MSM" is no less ideological in its own way (trying to remain impartial), and thus sets up the false equivalence that both forms of "analysis" are equivalent and valid. Except at the end of the day all those alt right channels aren't grounded in a democratic ethos but a purely reactionary ideology designed for, literally, the sole purpose of advancing an agenda whose main value is opposition to liberal values such as democracy and objective reporting. this opens itself up to be used in any way deemed appropriate by the power behind it, which is ultimately just the rising aristocracy of the alt right that grounds their legitimacy in their ability to convince people of whatever they want.

the idea that both sides of the media in this divide are guilty of the same thing is just a useful jumping off point to grab power by asserting up front that "liberals" do what the "alt right" goes out of its way to do, with the consequence being the deligitimization of the media wholesale leading to facts being inherently worthless and the news being primarily a source of "analysis" or "alternative facts" if you will (i.e.: analysis is now ideology: facts are now propaganda). basically the alt right cheapens the discourse by existing but in doing so solidifies their own position which only benefits from moving away from "facts as reality" since they never were a source of factual information anyway, rather they're a great source of ideology or simply telling people what to think. to even buy into their presuppositions though is to fundamentally view them as credible which is only possible if you were already viewing news as propaganda, which only betas do, right up until they actually reduce news to their projections of it which would happen if we ever got state controlled media under this administration, which is profoundly soviet, i.e.: beta in its character.

the bottom line is all that false equivalence amounts to is a beta projection that can, somewhat scarily, result in a self fulfilling prophecy. but I doubt it will come to that, the Trump administration already has a million and one cracks starting to show (which just goes to show that even when they "succeed" they only set themselves up for endless instability and infighting--house built on sand and all of that)...

i think the real takeaway here is that betas shouldn't be allowed to vote since they don't believe in democracy anyway

I could almost respect this form of power grabbing from betas if wasn't the demonstrable case that beta societies inevitably degenerate into hell on earth, but then again that's just another pesky (historical) fact

People keep waiting for Trump to act Presidential. They might have a long wait.

    From around the web:

Joe Conason on Trump: “Can mimic presidential behavior. This is a dangerous illusion.”

Trump biographer Tim O’Brian: “He’s not a great manager. He’s a performance artist pretending to be a great manager. “

    Attachment 9942

Is Trump actually acting like a bored, self-centered 8-year old? What do other world leaders think?

So, yesterday I saw this description of Washington DC by a former Labor Secretary, and his point #10 was priceless.

And then today, there's this game review, which is hilarious:

Michael Hudson is usually shrill, but he's a very smart guy, he's been around for a long long time, and his perspective and insights are worth paying attention to.

Here he talks about big-picture how we got here, what the issues are, and what should be done about it.
It is very much worth reading, especially if you think things are going from bad to worse, from either parties.

Their editors are hard at work trying to determine the relative efficiency of steam power vs. slavery.
So far, steam is not looking too good.

Michael Hudson is about the only economist who will tell you what's actually going on in the economy and economics... I was first interested in his book "Super Imperialism", but I found out that what he was doing in economics was even more interesting... His books are very dense and difficult to understand.

Anyway, Hudson paints a pretty bleak picture of the future, and maybe he is right...:

And who is to disagree? As Trotsky said, fascism is the result of the failure of the left to provide an alternative.

I think of that scene in V for Vendetta, where the comedy host burns the high Chancellor, and the next evening disappears into a black bag.

    Will Donald Trump Be Impeached?
    @Aylen

"I’m pretty sure I’d sell Trump-leaves-office-early stock (whether because of removal from office or other reasons) at even money (50 percent), and I’m pretty sure I’d buy it at 3-to-1 against (25 percent). I could be convinced by almost any number within that range."

    O burn...:

Angela Merkel says Germany can no longer rely on Donald Trump's America: 'We Europeans must take our destiny into our own hands'

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a7760486.html

Merkel may be using Trump as an excuse to free her shackles from America (I mean, Germany lost to America. It still very much has the aftereffects of that loss)... Finally, Europe may free itself from the long-lasting American influence that was overdue.

Snowden says: This is an era-defining moment.

    Maybe.
