@yeves I don't understand the rationale behind most of the post you make in these threads. It all bleeds together.
Have to agree with @Galen here.
Overall, this thread seems to be the least clear for me compared to all the other instinctual variants threads.
These items represent the fixed interests of someone I type So/sp. Maybe some of them will fit. If so, I can think of even more things.
so/sp to sx/so ?
The social instinct by itself isn't concerned with elevating one's status within its community. The ultra career-oriented mentality seems more like So 3s I've known, manipulating one's self-presentation in order to "climb the ladder" and establish their self worth.
I had always figured you as so/sx anyway. There's an airy, warm lightness to your affective presentation that doesn't gel with sx-last.
Having a presence in their communities seems to be a major modus operandi even if they don't express it or realize it.
There are a few private arcade cabinet owners in my area, all of whom I type as So/Sp. Not all of them are particularly extroverted or socially gregarious people, but they all seem to have some desire to establish a presence within the local arcade gaming community. They'll throw get-togethers and bring lots of people over to feast upon their mechanical goods, even if they themselves don't really have much want for interpersonal interaction.
god help me
Long ago, the great Frith made the world. He made all the stars, and the world lived among the stars. Frith made all the animals and birds, and, at first, made them all the same. Now, among the animals was El-ahrairah, the Prince of Rabbits. He had many friends and they all ate grass together. After a time, the rabbits wandered everywhere, multiplied, eating as they went. Then, Frith said to El-ahrairah:
"Prince Rabbit, if you cannot control your people, I shall find ways to control them."
El-ahrairah would not listen, and said to Frith: "My people are the strongest in the world."
This angered Frith, so he determined to get the better of El-ahrairah. He gave a present to every animal and bird, making each one different from the rest. When the fox came, and others like the dog and cat, the hawk and weasel, to each of them, Frith gave a desire to hunt and slay the children of El-ahrairah. El-ahrairah knew that Frith was too clever for him, and he was frightened. He had never before seen the Black Rabbit of Death.
"My friend," said Frith, "have you seen El-ahrairah? For I wish to give him a gift."
"No, I have not seen him."
"So", Frith said, "Come out, and I will bless you instead."
"No, I cannot. I am busy. The fox and weasel are coming. "If you want to bless me, you will have to bless my bottom."
"Very well. Be it so."
And El-ahrairah's tail grew shining white, and it flashed like a star. And his back legs grew long and powerful. He tore across the hill faster than any creature in the world.
"All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies. And whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first, they must catch you: digger, listener, runner. Prince with the swift warren. Be cunning and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed."
Karl Lagerfeld
Mm, yeah, I like this. I said in another So-first thread that I'm not really sure how best to represent So in images. The images themselves may look materialist, objecty-, Sp.
I posted material markers of an So/sp person's interests, which spring from and feed into community and broader social matters:
* tracing political and historical movements, especially in order to teach about those things and thereby keep cementing a community role (in education)
* connections made abroad; literally working on the NY Stock Exchange floor, versus being into it as a concept or a building, etc.
* getting a PhD in order to work on social issues specifically.
For him they evoke and maintain social memories, current social interests, and goals that forward the interests of a community.
Status does enter into the picture, in a way, but aside from 3-ness, I think that having an expertise and rising to a position of authority can be a way of securing a place in and influencing a particular community. There's an investment in it.
From the fringes you can do less and more easily be rejected.
Music I associate with so/sp occupies this funny energy space. It sits in a really awkward middle ground of energy where it's not downtempo enough to draw you in, but not energetic enough to provide immediate impact. It simply passes over with the clouds; all atmosphere, minimal turbulence. It ends up being a muddy grey area where energy is neutral all around. U2, Lorde, The Cranberries all give me this vibe.

I was about to say haven't I seen this song somewhere in these threads. Their lead singer more or less reminded me of Anna Kendrick whom I've typed as so/sp previously (and both are likely Ne types).
this seems to be the general features of so/sp girls - curious bright look, open countenance, combined with a sort of set and solid front, the contours of which were as if outlined by charcoal.
