Napoleon was the Best General Ever, and the Math Proves it.
He may arguably be the best general on a battle-by-battle basis, but I do not see how his comeback fight at Waterloo could have be at all wise.

The lower your social class, the ‘wiser’ you are, suggests new study
"The findings make sense, Jayawickreme says, as people who grow up in a working-class environment have to rely on shared, communal resources more than people in the middle class, and therefore hone social techniques that smooth out conflicts with their peers. Those in the middle class, in contrast, tend to focus on education, which improves their IQ scores, but they don’t put nearly as much effort into conflict resolution skills, Grossmann says."
The link between polygamy and war
Plural marriage, bred of inequality, begets violence
"If the richest and most powerful 10% of men have, say, four wives each, the bottom 30% of men cannot marry. Young men will take desperate measures to avoid this state.
This is one of the reasons why the Arab Spring erupted, why the jihadists of Boko Haram and Islamic State were able to conquer swathes of Nigeria, Iraq and Syria, and why the polygamous parts of Indonesia and Haiti are so turbulent. Polygamous societies are bloodier, more likely to invade their neighbours and more prone to collapse than others are. The taking of multiple wives is a feature of life in all of the 20 most unstable countries on the Fragile States Index."

lol I love how Trump has advanced the collective unconscious in a way only the fool can
its like people really used to believe his straightforward lies but he's created such a discernible pattern of misrepresentation people are starting to realize the rote negation of anything adverse to one's agenda is indicative of an unreliable authority (not actually knowing it all, and being infallible), which in turn tends to itself warrant negation. in short, people realize the Fi principle that the negation of a claim by a bad person speaks to its veracity. this has been a long time coming in America. hopefully it creates a permanent mark
all this is in reference to his "full of untruths and boring" claim about the book--lol as if he read it. they should put it that the cover (I stole this idea from reddit) and I bet this thing sells a million copies
Trump wants to make money, the guy who wrote the book wants to make money (if he was close to Trump like he said, why is he betraying the confidence he was given?). It's all a big cycle where you wonder if they're all as bad as each other in the reptile pit. Or maybe he'll surprise us and donate it to the blue skies and sunny weather TM appeal.
it always surprises me when people toward the end of their lives are still concerned with making money. I always thought the reverse ought to be the case where it becomes how best to give it up. not because I want their shit, but because I feel like the person themselves would benefit most from that. like, its the right answer even if you're ruthlessly self interested
Making money can be an unexpected result of just living your life, or a habit, or an obsession.
If it is a habit, then it can be changed, usually by being replaced by another habit.
If it is an obsession, then age will almost certainly not change that.
A friend of mine once told me that every person spends the rest of their life trying to solve the problems that they encountered when they were 20. The Rolling Stones encapsulated this view in a song.
"… But you were never brought up right.
You were always spoiled with a thousand toys but still you cried all night.
Your mother who neglected you owes a million dollars tax.
And your father's still perfecting ways of making sealing wax.…"

http://nationalpost.com/news/world/s...-in-air-pocket
It's an article about two divers who ran into trouble in an underwater cave after their guideline broke and they accidentally stirred up silt from the ground, which made it difficult to see, while already running low on oxygen. After failing to retrieve their guideline, they discovered an air pocket in a chamber nearby where they talked through their options. They only had enough air for one of divers to make it out, if he could make it out, so they agreed to let the skinnier diver (Guillem) navigate himself out of the cave so that he could contact a rescue team, while the other diver (Gracia) was expected to remain in the cave until Guillem returned. Gracia survived 60 hours underwater with an air pocket as his sole source of oxygen, which contained a high concentration of CO2, and a single torch which was already running low on battery, so he only used the torch when he needed to pee, or so that he could climb down to retrieve fresh water. But the rest of the time, he was attempting to stay afloat and awake in the dark, while somehow not shitting his pants.

I like zizek and I like peterson, my initial take on it is zizek is essentially trolling here, I have a feeling they agree on all essential matters and they're as close to an Illuminati secretly laughing/crying at the masses as we're ever going to get
