I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Fivethirtyeight...who are Americans...say that Brazil have a 45% chance of winning at the moment: http://fivethirtyeight.com/interactives/world-cup/
betfair has the odds at 25%, and the company Goldman Sachs gave them a 48.5% chance before the tournament started.

"The World Cup is a peculiarly Catholic affair: majority Catholic countries have won 15 of the 19 tournaments. With former West Germany split about 50:50 between Protestants and Catholics, the only undeniably non-Catholic world champion was England in 1966. (No doubt theologians can explain this.)"

Everyone roots for their country, that's normal. But some German fans have taken it to a ridiculous level. And after the world cup it's "Fuck Germany"/"Who cares about football?" again. Gotta love the hypocrisy.

Overcome the French and German conquerors for a hat-trick to make your ultimate comeback.

    It's power.
    It's money.

It's spurred a wave of unrest in Brazil over poverty and class divides. I'm surprised how few people have heard of this, even though it was broadcasted all over the news months before the event and is still going strong. +1 for the tie between WC and politics.
