Huh. What he says about repression is actually rather true. This is very insightful and useful.

Also, he described my own childhood 100% perfectly. I never thought the world was all good, though. I actually thought it was all bad and I had to learn that there is good in the world.

I also am not attracted to aggressive people (I'm bisexual), but what he said about how "you need someone around who is a little monstrous to keep the real monsters away." That deeply resonates with me--I became a little monstrous myself exactly for that reason. So, I did not seek out protection from a partner. (Protectiveness actually seems condescending to me almost, in fact.) It makes sense because when I was a child, all I could depend on was myself. I was being abused by everyone around me: mother, father, brother, bullied at school, no real friends, disconnected from extended family because of my dad's power struggle (narcissist vs narcissist competition with one another for dominance). My mother manipulates her side of the family and uses them as pawns, so my dad was extremely abusively controlling about us all interacting with them. As for my dad's side of the family, they are also abusive, it is generational. The abused became abusers. My point is, because I was surrounded by nothing but abusive people, I learned to stand alone at an incredibly young age. Instead of seeking an aggressive partner...I myself have a monstrous and aggressive side to myself.

I'm listening to this multiple times just so I can thoroughly process the contents of this video. There's a lot to unpack when you really think about what he says here.

I don't care what others think of him, I have a lot of respect for Jordan Peterson. Sometimes he is wrong, but who isn't?

Shapiro is very similar to Brett Cooper. They actively engage with their audiences, give speeches, so I find Fe PolR unlikely. I do know that IEI seems like an unusual typing for Ben, but I think in the video you posted, 2 identical types have a conversation. As much as Shapiro claims about focusing mainly on facts, I think he is also ideologically motivated, and his emotions show more through his intense way of debating other people.

I also think he showcases emotions and Ni through artistic pursuits.

what's your definition of Te? outside of "facts"? I think they get along pretty well. two people exchanging ideas, no arguments or conflicts, Ben agrees with many points that Russel makes, outside of their view on spirituality. they have a different set of characteristics for sure and maybe follow different ideologies, and Russel is obviously more openly emotional, but that's their personal idea of the world. Both are also patiently listening to the other person without interrupting them. I find Shapiro very introspective, even if I do not relate with the way he sees the world. I also think Shapiro is very similar to Jordan Peterson, who I would also type as IEI.

Yeah but Brand seemed more like he was just keeping the atmosphere agreeable. Ben knowing that his religion view wasn't going to fly with Brand said it anyway. Ben didn't care about the emotional atmosphere. He said what he thought.

the test is pretty awful to be honest. it's interesting that Shapiro, Matt Walsh and Brett Cooper report on the same things with identical opinions, though. Almost like they have the same sub-category of the same type.

I think Mulvaney is an IEI, which is ironically the same type that I would give Shapiro, Cooper, Walsh and Grande. The vice president of marketing at Bud Light, Alissa Heinerscheid, was known as a teen harpist, and mentioning that the focus of the company needs to shift more towards inclusivity, which makes me suspect that she is an IEI as well, and that different ideologies are clashing against each other here, despite the identical types.
