Especially when she was getting him to say he was a bird too. It's one thing putting up with someone saying they're a bird, and quite another being brainwashed into thinking you're also a bird. He should have said, "You're not a bird, you flighty moron! Get that through your head! Now let's get back to swimming."

But my point is that there was a quantity of quality. Or so you're to presume. Wouldn't you put up with a small time of less quality for the sake of the quantity of quality the person has given you in the past?

I hope you don't mean her cawing is your idea of "quality".

Dunno, too generic. It'd just depend on the person, really.

How is that generic? I'm saying you've loved the person for a significant amount of time, and that love is of a high quality. What more do you need to know? What her features look like?

Well when you've been together for like 50 years or something and have kids and grandkids together, you're staying together because of the life you built together and your history. It seems like it would be normal to keep taking care of your partner and try to maintain the connection you have.

This film is sweet but does not live up to it's hype, it kind of bored me, like that Twighlight shit, MEH.

OK, this thread makes a lot more sense now that I have my correct type. I haven't gone back and re-read it, but I remember creating it and some of the feedback in it, as well as my obvious and stubborn confusion and misrepresentation of functions. Wow, being in the wrong quadra really screwed with my perception . I kept attributing similarities to the opposite thing, which is why I was convinced Allie and Noah were SLI/IEE for sure.

Still one of my favorite movies.

ETA: EIE for Allie and LSI for Noah FTW!!

I saw this again recently, and I was pondering IEE for Allie and SLI for Noah. I don't feel entirely great about these ponderings. I thought that Allie is a very outgoing person who may not really examine everything as she goes along, and who is very feeling oriented such that she often gets confused between conflicting feelings. I also thought she had a very active mind that wouldn't shut up, and that was what she used painting for... but in painting she seemed to want to paint peaceful landscapes and I thought she might be using this to feed Si more into her life. Noah seems to like to build and craft and work with his hands a lot... his dream is to restore a house with his own two hands. Also that he couldn't let go of Allie even after it seemed hopeless and just kept driving himself mad holding onto his feelings for her, while changing nothing in his life... maybe sort of points at Ip temperament, Fi HA and Si... until Allie came back he'd managed to work himself into a great stagnation, but it's not like he didn't do anything at all during this, he was busy and more physically active while being stuck in life and this kind of reminds me of a couple people I know who I see as SLI. Anyway I think Ips may be most inclined to wait patiently forever and get themselves very stuck doing so.

It was the only movie I regretted watching on an airplane. It was a better idea to stare at the chair, talk with strangers or sleep instead.

Well it is obvious there are plenty of people who think it was a fantastic movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0332280/
I am just not one of them and it is not because it was cheesy. For me it was a chore to watch. I felt tired after watching it, like if I was forced to do something I didn't want for a few hours.

This movie was boring to me, and I've seen a number of romantic movies or just scenes that made me cry. I guess I need something more serious with like an actual plot and real actors; this one just felt like dry flair and was kinda dumb.

    Now there's a tearjerker.

    Also I love Joel.
