I'm pretty burnt out on it too. I wish I could still get all indignant or raise Hell about stuff like I used to, but it's all just so circular, vitriolic, and ultimately pointless.

If I ever get seriously interested in politics, I would probably want to get involved and make an impact. Like burn and destroy as much as possible. Contribute to making political structures and large governing bodies fall apart, lose their power, and self-destruct into space.

That´s just stupid, the quality of healthcare in europe and in the USA is very similar (even tho in the USA it´s much less affordable). Not touching all the other points with a mile pole, but the healthcare prejudice is just meh.

Mobilize for what? Democracy is tyranny by the biggest mob, and there aren't enough like-minded people as myself to make the difference. It's been tried for 50+ years. The system don't work, you're always going to be electorally overpowered by the greed of the masses.

The only recourse that libertarians have is to break off and do the Agorist thing.

Obamacare will kick in, kids can stay on parents' healthcare plan, women will retain the right to decide over having an abortion, there is hope for gay marriage to come through, credit card companies can't screw me over like they used to, students have better access to loans, undocumented youth have a chance to get citizenship, I saved almost $4000 in taxes under Obama, etc. etc.

I don't understand how you can say that it's all the same. All this philosophical talk about bad government does not matter much when you go about your daily life and try to make a living. How many of you who say it's all the same actually DO make a living on your own or are supporting a family?

This is a good description of the outlook of a large fraction of the voting public. An entire book could probably be written analyzing this mindset and the consequences that ensue when it becomes dominant.
