Typical LSE
-
Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?
I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Te-LSE
He has a pronounced Ne-HA, seems a bit goofy and very extraverted, and it's the Te-subs who come through this way.
By enneagram probably a phobic e6w7 so/sx. E9 is another possibility but I think e6 is more likely.
I'm just a sheep, but I've been saying Te-ESTj for years now.
A very odd, somewhat fairy-dusted, ESTj 8w9.
I agree with 6w7, no clue on stacking
So does this mean that Aimee Mann probably isn't IEI. I've also considered ESI-Se and LSI-Se for her, as well as EII-Ne.
Then again, her covering "The Scientist" probably doesn't mean much.
Her cover of the song is in Ab Major (Libra), and I think the original is in F Major (Taurus). Both signs are ruled by the planet Venus.
Why aren't there any other IEI's (besides me) replying to this thread? BulletsAndDoves, thePirate, Jenna, crazedrat, Diam0nd, domino, octo, limNol, NewBorn STAR, etc. -- where are you?
While we're at it this thread could probably also use some Delta Rationals -- Absurd, Hydrangea, Radio, Director Abbie, etc.

Incidentally this guy has some facial resemblance to Ryu.

O hai. I really don't know what type he could be... LSE seems a bit off for me though, considering that he's basing his career on continuously expressing his feelings through an artsy venue, when most, if not all, LSEs I know don't like dwelling on that type of stuff for long. Martin seems more of a perceiving type for me too.

Here's a really good interview of Billy Joel that Chuck Klosterman did, it's huge!

Aww Billy Joel and Phil Collins
I like this song
I don't know why but I've always thought ENTj for him although I've never given it much thought. Anyway I've always been in love with him. I just love his songs and personality. Isn't he a little hmmm too delicate for ESTj?
If he's ESTj he's a really non typical one.
Maybe the mix with E6 is right although it's just a quess on my side (suggested by you here). Anyway, he's an artist so he's totally not a typical person, let alone ESTj.
I honestly don't have much of an opinion on Chris Martin's type, yet it's cool that people have expressed theirs. I think A Rush of Blood to the Head and Parachutes were their best albums. I haven't listened to their other albums adequately, if at all, to make an informed opinion.
One of the greatest Coldplay songs, in my opinion. I'd say that my favorite Coldplay song is actually "Green Eyes", yet it's a love song, and I'm not really in love. Green Eyes is still my favorite Coldplay song though.
Aimee Mann's lyrics strike me as potentially Holographical-Panoramic. Either that or IEI.
From the 22nd floor
Walking down the corridor
Looking out the picture window down
On Sycamore
While perspective lines converge
Rows of cars and buses merge
All the sweet green trees of Atlanta burst
Like little bombs
Or little pom-poms
Shaken by a careless hand
That drives them off
And leaves again
Life just kind of empties out
Less a deluge than a drought
Less a giant mushroom cloud
Than an unexploded shell
Inside a cell
Of the Lennox Hotel
On the 22nd floor
Found a notice on my door
While outside, the sun is shining on
Those little bombs
Those little pom-poms
Life just kind of empties out
Less a deluge than a drought
Less a giant mushroom cloud
Than an unexploded shell
Inside a cell
Of the Lennox Hotel . . .
For some reason I often heard it as "a giant mushroom cloud in an unexploded shell/Inside a cell/Of the Lennox Hotel". Oh, well.

"As Statics, Holographers attain reliable precision of thought. As Negativists they periodically turn the object of thought to its opposite side. As Involutionary types, they sporadically change the angle of examination or criterion of judgment."
' . . . by mentally superimposing multiple projections of the same object, Holographists reach a holistic view. To do this, they look at the image and select a desired angle of examination. Holographic cognition often utilizes the grammatical conjunctives: "or-or", "either-or", "on the one hand, on the other hand". It actively uses the principle of perspective; unrestricted choice in point of view. The holographic approach is a progressive approximation towards the purpose, or away from it, accompanied by changes of perspective. The holographic process is carried out as if calibrating focus.'
"Another real-life prototype of Holographical cognition are fractal objects, discovered by mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot in the 1970s. Geometrically, fractals are figures with diffuse outlines, possessing self-similar internal structures. For example, trees, snowflakes, coastlines, etc. They are characterized by multiple internal forms similar in principle to nesting-dolls. Like a hologram, any fragment of a fractal contains complete information about the entire fractal. The part is always structurally similar to the whole.
Socionics types are also like fractal objects."
"Sociotypes possessing this form [Holographical-Panoramic cognition] are SLE, LII, IEE, ESI."
It's funny because Robert Christgau used the word "boring" to describe Aimee Mann's music:
http://www.robertchristgau.com/get_a...ame=Aimee+Mann
Robert Christgau: "For her fans, the news is that she's invested her profits in studio musicians. Takes talent to make that more boring than solo acoustic, no?"
Here are some of Robert Christgau's reviews for Coldplay:

'A Rush of Blood to the Head [Capitol, 2002]
let Green Eyes dump him for real and we'll see how long he hums in the void ("Green Eyes," "In My Place") *
X&Y [Capitol, 2005]
Tunewise, this is the craftiest of their well-crafted albums. Conceived as a boy group, showing girls who long to believe it that not every guy is a jock, a thug, a lothario, or a male-bonded mook, they might even have their uses. Conceived as a pop alternative to U2 and Radiohead, however, they're an argument for death metal. Precise, bland, and banal, their sensitivity emotionless and their musicality never surprising, they're the definition of a pleasant bore--easy to tune out, impossible to care for. B
Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends [Capitol, 2008]
Applying all his powers, Chris Martin successfully dilutes Radiohead, with--what else?--pleasant results ("Viva la Vida," "42"). *'
I'll have to give X&Y a (more thorough) listen now. I think my Mom bought that album (in the past) too.
Chris Martin is definitely not overbearing, so that takes LSE off the table. He lacks what I call the TeSi cop cognition (TeSi correlates best to enneagram 6)
