I don't correlate "out there"-ness with sociotype; I think anyone who does that is misleading themselves. Traits like that can arguably be more readily explained by Enneagram—i.e., I could easily see her being E4.
Looking at the excerpt octo posted, it's actually a good case example of
Holographical-Panoramic (HP) cognitive style:
In cognitive theory, the third cognitive form is the least studied: it is analytic, negative, and inductive. The provisional name of this style is Holographical-Panoramic. 'Holograph' originates from the Ancient Greek words holos "entire, whole" and grapho "write". This name is derived from the Holographist's ability to densely pack information via method of 'like to, similar' analogy. Sociotypes possessing this form are SLE, LII, IEE, ESI.
Welch's articulation is very concise and punctuated—to a point where her speech seems fragmentary—as is typical to this style (
note to blackburry: you're like this too; so is timewu, for that matter).
A lot of ESIs get mistyped as Ns due to being HP cognitive style.
Temperament wise, Welch is overtly IJ, ergo ruling out IEE and SLE. She's far too characteristically rigid to be any XXXp type.
Her VI also compares favorably to other ESIs, but I don't have the patience to make an exhaustive demonstration out of that. You can do it yourself if you want
here (though I'm not decidedly settled on her subtype yet, so you may want to contrast
these too for good measure).
I actually don't find her terribly attractive. She seems interesting to me, like someone I'd feel compelled to get to know, but I can't say I'm attracted. Though that's about par regarding my duals, so I suppose this makes sense.
