I had this idea...

We could test how well VI of pictures works, if someone posts pictures of 5 friends of him/her on the 'what's my type' section. He/she knowing already their types with a 100% certainty.

We then could all give our opinion on what type those persons probably are by using VI.

In the end we can conclude how useful VI actually is, by looking at the scores of everyone. Next to that it may shed some light on how well you are using VI.

Maybe some interesting conclusions can be drawn like for example, if everyone is wrong 95% of the time, then we might stop using the picture VI stuff, or maybe we find that someone on this site has everything right, making him/her opinion very trustworthy in that area.

What do you think, would it be a nice experiment? Or have any suggestions/remarks?

people should just post pictures of types they know, in several different shots.
leave it up to the individual whether they can believe or trust that typing.
though, i would propose coming up with a set of guidelines for questioning a posted person's type. like, maybe people should just post which typings they are skeptical of, without saying why. And the OP poster can't respond.
That way it doesn't turn into a shit show.

Yes we must make some rules, it's an experiment and not a discussion. Everyone states their type for person 1 to 5. And a short comment like, 'pretty sure' etc.

Maybe we shouldn't even show the actual type, to avoid discussion. It's all about the scoringspercentage anyways.

There will always be people who think they know the type of the pictures better then the poster itself. But we shouldn't let that be a reason to not start the experiment.


I just don't like to post pictures of my own friends publicly, otherwise, I can post at least 5 pictures of people of whom type I'm 100% certain of. Not only do they clearly represent the type, but my relationship with them confirms it.

Oh it's prefectly serious. The gaze of the eyes are the most important feature of typing via VI. I'm just interested to see what you guys come with - I'm testing the validity of all this.

Eyes are important, but so is the mouth and area surrounding both features.

Multiple pictures are helpful as is context.
