Yes all your points are right, and ofcourse this experiment is not the ultimate scientific approach, yet it does mean something. Let's at least conclude that VI isn't as easy as sometimes portrayed.
Where have you seen it portrayed as easy? I think the general consensus here is that quite often people are wrong. Its hard to use VI, its even harder to do it just from photos alone. It can be as an additional tool but I know only one person who uses mostly VI to identify types.

Yeah, to me its more of a side hobby to work on and practice.
So this thread is somewhat useful because its gets you to at least notice facial patterns even if you can't figure out type. When you do figure out the type whether of someone here or irl, then you will have a catalogue of expressions and features to lookf for or piece together.
I would not say that VI is substantial evidence of type, but thats not due to the premise that type manifests itself physically, but due to the primitive stage of our VI skillz.

After seeing these result, I think these typings could be correct. Especially the ILI girl, least sure about the SEI guy.

The first rule of fight club is... oh wait...
The first rule of VI experiments is, we don't doubt the pic poster in his typings.
(To avoid boring and mostly unnecessary discussions, and scare away future pic posters).
So don't feel obliged to defend. But to add, I think the SEI guy is correct too. His typical goofy lauch pic (1st) reminds me of an SEI. So I guess we can all agree on the correct typings now. We're just lousy at VI :-)

Ah oke, yes that's a good idea then, and yes we can ofcourse continue if there are volunteers...I'm committed to the rule, too.
I just wanted the participants to be confident and able to use this experience in the future, to compare, extract ideas.

Hmm they all seem quite Melancholy Phlegmatic to me. Pay particular attention to the 'gaze' of the eyes.
Oh it's prefectly serious. The gaze of the eyes are the most important feature of typing via VI. I'm just interested to see what you guys come with - I'm testing the validity of all this.
Anyway, I'm primarily interested in their Socionics types...unless your powers defeat you of course.

Eyes are important, but so is the mouth and area surrounding both features.
