You're an INTj. Let it go.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
What makes you think that???Originally Posted by gilligan87

Heh ... that is not saying a whole lot.
You're clearly Ti, to me at least. The type quest suggests Ne, and besides, you clearly don't have Se. You're obviously socially nervous to some extent, which, we can all agree, is typical of INTjs. Your facial expression in some pictures I have seen is quite INTj: that look that someone described over in a socionics.com forum, something to the effect of "serious to the point of breaking out laughing." And on top of it all, you've just got the vibe.

Well, you've got the seriousness pinned down. I'm not sure about the rest.Originally Posted by gilligan87

And, then, I think, sometimes we sound a bit too sure of certain things.

The only reason you refuse to accept that you're INTj is because you're self-conscious and slightly neurotic. Accept it or give up.

Yeah, I was doing fine until I read the "accept it or give up" part, then I sort of lost interest.Originally Posted by gilligan87

Though this has been denied before, it can actually be seen that he uses in arguments. He posts quotes, talks about others' theories, tries to persuade people with various forms of evidence, and so on. INTP. Whatever. I don't care anymore.
Know why? Because I'm trying to be forceful with you, which smacks your PoLR, which makes you embarassed, so you try to ignore it and move on.Originally Posted by rmcnew

What, me being forceful? You're right, it's clearly not working. But I explained my logic to you and you refused to accept it, so now I'm forcing it on you. So read it again. Chew on it. You'll never accept it openly, but I want you to know that I'm right.

As for what Rocky said, well, he may use some Te, but I see Ti weighing it out. It's just in the way he posts. Compare it to other INTjs, or any other Ti type, for that matter. He's got that dryness, that lack of color in his speech that he tries to make up for by using big words and fake emotionalism. All of the Ti types do it, myself included. Try reading his posts, taking out all the "..." and smilies, and you'll see it's dry as hell.

You're OBVIOUSLY not a feeling type. It's clear to anyone with a pair of eyes and something behind them that this is the case. You're dry as hell, you just try to spice it up with the before-mentioned faux-emotionalism, because you find that people act more interested when you do. As for you being an ENTj...laughable. Compare yourself to other ENTjs on the board, and you will quickly find that you relate much more to the INTjs. Your communication style, the way you type, your expressions...it all points to INTj.

rmcnew, I believe you are correct. In your current state, you are indeed untypable. You are stuck in state of being in which you are trying to be something that you believe you are *supposed to* be. Until you stop struggling and just be, your type will not be evident.
and that goes for anyone else whose type is not apparent

perhaps it's because he just doesn't agree and it's not possible to argue against what you're saying without establishing an entirely new premise, and that's more effort than it's worth
Or maybe he doesn't know how to respond.

that's like asking some one to prove that they don't like olives
Not really. You yourself said, and he agreed, that he could, in fact, establish another premise to counter what I've said. So I say he should do it; until he does, I have no reason to think anything but that he doesn't want to be an INTj.

First, I think most of those who are saying that I use Ne are actually making the same mistake I did previously and confusing it with my usage of Te. Second, I tend to act like a very strong judging type at times by doing things like hating to be late to things [even though I sometimes am], looking at things in ways that are totally rational logic, making sure I look my best and sharp just because I feel like I should do so.Originally Posted by gilligan87
So, that puts me in a dillema. If I really do use Te, than I can not be INTj, and if I am a J type, than I can not be a P type. And obviously that raises questions that other people do not like answering or accepting even.
On top of that, my status as being an introvert or extrovert is obviously being distorted by other personal problems. So, I think saying I am one or the other is shady at best.
is a sensing type totally out of the question?
INTjs use Te, too, you know. Quoting people to prove a point and stating facts does NOT make you a Te type. Your mannerisms and diction don't resemble any Te types here; however, they bear a striking resemblance (to me, at least) to the Ti types (ENTps and INTjs, more specifically).
You said yourself that you're a judging type, and I believe you. What options does this leave you for a dominant function? Te, Ti, Fe, and Fi. I think it becomes immediately obvious to anyone who speaks to you, at least here, that you are no feeler, and ESPECIALLYU no Fi type. Fe is barely any more conceivable. As for differentiating Te and Ti, well, you can't be relied upon to distinguish between the two for yourself because you've got self-image problems. Rocky sees, Te; I would debunk this with the above. I see Ti in your diciton and mannerisms, as well as your dryness, which all resemble that of other Ti types of the board. In addition, you have the 'over-serious' expression that is so characteristic of INTjs. This, to me, is evidence enough.
