Interesting and got me thinking. Because one's consciousness is created by a particular set of neural activity and networks, it is intricately linked to them, making something like downloading one's consciousness onto a hard drive a physical impossibility. You may be able to create artificial consciousness, but it will lack the layers of evolutionary neural links we have inherited that add the subtleties of conscious experience.
